Here are a couple that may or may not be in the HOS already...from a Cal Ripken article @ espn....

• Dwight Gooden missed a start after Vince Coleman accidentally hit him with a golf club in the locker room.

• Vince Coleman missed an entire postseason when he was swallowed up by the automatic tarp machine in St. Louis.

This obviously has been mentioned here before, and I'm fairly certain what you have said is untrue, he didn't miss an entire postseason if I'm remembering correctly.

Checking Basball Reference, I see Coleman's teams finished first three times (85, 87, 95) and he played  in the postseason each time.  However, I see in the 85 LCS he only played 3 games and then he didn't play at all in the 7 game World Series, so I am guessing this mishap occurred during the 85 LCS.  I guess I could Google that.

I try to make it a point to reference this as often as possible in my life.  It can never be brought up too much, as it is always going to be funny.
