Dee-Nee Round Robin Tourney Today

We are finally getting some RBI in!  It's a 7-player, round-robin tourney.  Starts at 2pm, so check back for brackets and updates....

Breakdown on the rules:

1 game round robin, every plays each other once.  You can only use a team once during the round robin.  The exception to that is zorb, who gets Detroit everytime because he sucks.

OK, here's the story....  I am the fucking champion!!  Never has one man dominated RBI like I did tonight.  The rundown:

Round Robin:

Gantry 5-0
Potsie 3-2
Jason 3-2
Lipitz 3-2
Todd 1-4
Zorba 0-5

Potsie won the tiebreaker because he had the most slaughters.  When we got to the finals:

Game One
Gantry (Dt) 24, Potsie (Ca) 20
16 HRs to 13

Game Two
Gantry (Ca) 28, Potsie (Dt) 12, 6 Innings
18 HRs to 8

That makes me the champ with a perfect 7-0 record.  Not only that, but I had to play Detroit (easily the best straight team) every fucking game except when it was my turn to pick Detroit.  That's 5-0 with 4 victories against Detroit.  If you include the finals, I was 7-0 with a 5-0 record against Detroit.  Never will you see domination like this again, too bad it wasn't the real RBI Tourney.  Regardless, I am the fucking best...

And yes, I had a few beers.  Potsie and I implemented drinking rules for the finals and we started drinking at 2pm.  It doesn't matter, I am the fucking champ!!!

Gantry, I must admit, that's pretty damn impressive.  Going .500 against Detroit is tough enough.

7-0 is especially impressive since you had to use 7 different teams.  Matchups like NY or STL vs DET must make it extremely difficult to pull out a win in str8 pitch.

It was an impressive night, but I didn't use 7 different teams, only 5.  You had to choose a different team only during the round robin matchup.  After that, we went back to normal picking....
