I've never seen a pitcher wallzie. I think it's bullshit.

quoted for truth...it looks as if we have two dividing camps.

vgp100

I think these pitcher wallzie  stories are a bit of wishful thinking. Maybe everyone wants it to be true so much that they really believe.

As George Costanza said: It isn't a lie if you believe it.
You're going down, chainsaw.

Well I suppose that I could use my camcorder to record every game of RBI that I play from here on out.  I think there is enough claims from truthful men (such as myself) to substantiate the pitcher walzie... we can definatively say that no pitcher over the wall homerun has ever take place right?

I consider a wallzie to be legit.

I consider a bodyblow follwed by an uppercut legit.

doveRBI

A walzie is a piece of shit.  If anyone hits a walzie against me I want to throw my controller with dead-eye accuracy directly at the reset button.  Especially if it is a game winner.  Then I'm probably swinging an empty bottle at somebody/thing.

Glassjoe

It's a part of the game...settle down.  :)

NotURMasButArmas

I agree, a wallzie is one of those things in RBI that makes the game what it is. One thing I like doing os calling the wallzie before the liner gets to the outfield because you can usually tell if it going to be one.

Vote Armas For President 2004
Because I just gave you a case of Belles Wallzie
(I don't know what that means though)

fknmclane

Wallzies are legit.  They're part of the game.  Plain and simple.

While never actually pulling it off myself and probably playing over 1000 RBI games, I do believe The Rock.  But this is definitely the touchiest of all subjects here in dee-nee land.  It's like (and to continue the Seinfeld references by VGP) Mickey telling Kramer that communism is a sensitive issue.

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

Baines

Dammit, I thought I was cool cause i hit a bomb with Ozzie Smith tonite but I guess I'vee been outdone.  Anyway, congrats to anyone who hits one out w/ a pitcher.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

Gantry

Congrats Rock, I am still desperately awaiting my pitcher dinger.  The Dee-Nee house will go nuts when that happens, especially if Lipitz hits it.  We have a rule that anyone giving up a pitcher homer has to retire from RBI...

I don't like to aceept there's something in RBI I haven't done, but I've been able to acknowledge the pitcher dinger.  Still doesn't make it right though...

RockRaines4life

Since we use your drinking game rules we also abided by the rule that giving up a HR to the pitcher means retirement.  I had to grant amnesty to my roommate though, because having him not play anymore would drastically cut down on my RBI time.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

erhajj

I hit an homer with Boggs today and he pitched a couple of times.  Does that count?

Gantry

Yeah, the retirement rule would probably get cut back on appeal.  Maybe a 6-month ban or something...

doveRBI

Or it could just be changed to the 1000 drink HR.  I could go for that, then I'd be more anxious to give one up than to hit another myself.

I would think an alternate punishment would be in order. Maybe a beer buying penalty, or order bitch (guy that always had to get the door when the food comes). We used to play Half Life & the person with the lowest score when the food arrived had to pick it up. The person with the second lowest score had to get the drinks.

I think lifetime ban is pretty tough.  I too would be fucked as far as RBI time went.

Look.  As much as it sucks to give up a pitcher dong, it is cruel and unusual punishment to be banned for life.  That is a hyperbolistic sentence meant to bring levity to such a demoralizing situation.  Now if you gave up an over the wall to the pitcher.  You should shut down permanently.

Gantry

The banned for life rule initially started because we really didn't think the pitcher dinger was possible.  I like some sort of beer bitch rule or 6-months with no Dt/Ca/Bo, something like that...

vgp100

I'd say a St louis only rule would be good.

In my days as a young lad, I heard many stories of myths and legends.  There were huge lies told to millions of children such as Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny.....Only to have my dreams crushed as a I realized there men and creatures were little more than deceptions used by parents and other adults as a way of keeping children in line...

Even as I grew older and just slightly wiser there were and essentially are tall tales, such as the Sasquatch or abominable snowman, even the Loch Ness Monster.  These are diffreent types of illusions....these are the types of illusions that really serve no one any real purpose...peole just love to believe them.  These serve no historical relevance...and really only serve the minds of crackpots and idiots....for anyone with a stable mond and a little common sense would easily see that none of these can be true....

In nearly everyone's life on a daily basis tales of fantasy reign in on decisions thatmust be made....religious orthodoxy, fish stories, and pure hogwash influence major life events world wide constantly...It seems the world likes to follow works of mytholiogical fiction rather than just thinking on their own...

But not all of these are total lies...many of these parabolic superstitions are little more than historical fact that over time has been horribly misrepresented....Now....After all of this rambling, I suppose I should get to my point....thank you for taking the time to read this far...

With something so pure as RBI Baseball why should we allow untruths and facts surface with all of the legendary things that have occured...and will occur in the future of this game...Let us not fall prey to silly stories, and use our own intuitions and knowledge on this touchy subject of fabrication....I think if we all look deep down in our hearts...and remember how many games many of us have played.....we all know the truth....a non-all star pitcher...hitting a wallzie?

Well, yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause....but you know what......

THERES NO FUCKING WAY THIS EVER HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
