Finally catching up on email and a a fine gentlemen by sent me the following info and pics?:

"Anyway, the reason I emailed you was that I got a laugh out of the portion of your FAQ where you mentioned that there was still a working RBI Baseball arcade game in Santee as of 2002. That area used to be my old stomping grounds and I remember back in the late 80's playing RBI there all the time after soccer and baseball games. I hadn't been there in years but I dragged my wife with me and we made the trek there tonight to see if the RBI holy grail still existed. As we drove there, I couldn't fathom how it could still be there. We used to beat the hell outta that game and that was 17 years ago.

Low and behold, we walked in and sure enough, it was still sitting there in the exact same spot it had when we were kids. It definitely was a little worse for the wear, the screen has faded, there were plenty of scratches and chipped paint but remarkably the controls played very true. So I sat down, threw a couple of quarters in and was on my way. I took the Yankees and had a 4-0 no hitter in the sixth vs. the Cards before I was tagged for two runs. My wife had already used all her quarters playing Mario Brothers and looked bored so we called it a night.

So I just wanted to let you know that as of 9:30pm on January 13, 2006, there still exists a working RBI Baseball Arcade game at a business establishment. I included a couple photos to back up my story. (Sorry for the bad quality, all I had was my camera phone). Thanks again for the great site and bringing back all those happy memories of RBI Baseball. Later"

Santee is a hillbilly town i think. Somewhere around El Cajon. Thanks nice. I'm more into the super mario bros. Never got into baseball.

Round Table knows whats up.

I've never seen RBI on an arcade but was aware of it's existence thanks to the site; that's a badass old machine.

The site mentions being conversative, but it also says the neutrality of the article is disputed.  Either way it's AOK in my book...

Going to create a database article on it, but not sure what I should call it.  Santee, California is my #1 choice now - Roundtable Pizza isn't good because it's really only one store that has it and anything with "arcade RBI" is too general...

I must add that I am kicking myself right now. I was in fallbrook, CA for 3 days several months ago for a wedding, should have made the easy drive and got my pizza and RBI on.

isn't someone's aviator quote "arcade rbi is not a myth"   is that quote referring to the same santee rbi machine?

They used to have one of these machines about 7 or 8 years ago at the pizza hut down the street. They also had pacman or it might have been ms pacman.

I think Moses was talking about the machine itself, not Arcade RBI.  That cocktail version has a whole selection of NES games that run on it...

moses

I cannot say for sure if it was RBI but it was baseball. Pacman was easy to remember because of the big giant yellow pacman on the top and the different color ghosts.

Here is the database page folks, hot of the presses.

Per usual, post or make changes yourself.  I'm wondering if using italics for the quote in the story is too annoying.

Santee is a little over 2 hours from my place, and maybe 1:15 from Teddyballgame's. I believe we have basically just set the location of Winter Dee-Nee Fest 2007...

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.
