Bret Saberhagen?

Metal King

Yeah it's Mattingly.  1984, 110 rbi's.

In 1983 he played 91 games and had 279 at bats though, but it's not a full season.

Same situation for Tony Armas in 1980, but in one of his previous four seasons he had a 360 at bat season and 100+ games.

Kind of hard thinking up questions for this.

Which RBI'er is the only player in ML history to win an MVP award, yet never make an all star team.

This may not be teh first time this question has been asked.

Hard to believe Gibson was never selected to an allstar team.

I have about 3 or 4 more questions here, sorry to put them all on one post:

1. Of all the RBI HITTERS, which one hit the earliest home run?

2.  What 2 RBI Pitchers led the league in Strikeouts their first years?

3. What 2 RBI Pitchers had at least 200 Strikeouts their first years in the majors?

4. Which 3 RBI Pitchers have led leagues in Wins, Strikeouts, and ERA at least once each?

5.  Which RBI Pitcher has the most career Strikeouts without ever leading the league?

Ok, 5 questions.....

I've been swimming in raw sewage ... I love it

I think #1 has to be Reggie

#2 & #3 definitely involve Gooden...

Does #1 mean year-wise or career AB-wise?  I think Will Clark might have hit a dinger on his first atbat...

I'm going to go Blyleven, Gooden and Clemens to #4

ultimate7

#1 Reggie (assuming you mean who hit the first HR)
#2 Gooden and Fernando
#3 Gooden and Ryan
#4 Gooden, Clemens, Blyleven

It could have been a west coaster playing a road game (actually more likely because then it could have happened in the top of the 1st).

Still, odds say it's an east coaster 'cause 1/2 of their games are at home.  Then add in the amount of road games they play that keep them on the east coast.

West coasters only play a total of 1/2 games on the road, but you still have to subtract all road games that don't get them on the east coast.

You're so stupid, ult.

April 18, 1994 Tim Raines led off the game with a HR in Boston.

This is Patriot's day, historically the start this game at 11:05 AM EST (Trying to confirm this was the start time of this game).

If it was this is likely the RBIer with the earlies HR for a game that started on the same day.

As far as games going past midnight... who knows
