Huge Comeback Lifts The Poopydicks
Into the Fantasy RBI World Series

Team comes from eight runs down to defeat The Frank Tanana All-Stars 18-17 in
10 innings to win the Doverbi Division Championship Series 2-0

Tenth-inning heroics by Don Mattingly and Rafael Santana lifted The Poopydicks to an 18-17 victory over the visiting Frank Tanana All-Stars in Game Two of the Doverbi Division Championship Series on Friday afternoon, giving The Poopydicks a series sweep and launching them to their first-ever Fantasy RBI World Series Appearance.

After The Frank Tanana All-Stars had pulled ahead by one in the top of the tenth, pinch-hitter Santana led of The Poopydick's half of the inning with a home run to LF to tie the game. It was Santana's first hit of the season, and perhaps his first home run ever. Chili Davis doubled with one out, and after advancing to third on Lou Whitaker's ground out, was singled home by Mattingly to end the game and send the sellout crowd at Tengen Stadium into a frenzy.

The Poopydicks had to climb out of a huge hole, having gone down 5-0 in the first inning and trailing by as many as eight. Davis and George Bell each homered twice, with Bell driving in five, while Mattingly collected six hits in seven at-bats while scoring four times.

Gedman, Don Baylor and Jim Rice each homered twice for The Frank Tanana All-Stars, who were done in by some suspect work from their bullpen. Their relievers combined to give up 19 hits and 11 runs (all earned) in 5 2/3 innings of work.

The Poopydicks will play the winner of the Gantry Division deciding Game 3 between The OC and The Creamy Pirates in the Best-of-Seven Fantasy RBI World Series.

Team set to take on The Poopydicks in Fantasy RBI World Series

The OC used a gritty complete game from Dwight Gooden and five RBI from Andre Dawson to defeat The Creamy Pirates 16-8 in the deciding Game Three of the Gantry Division Championship Series on Monday night at Creamy Pirates Field. With the victory, The OC moves on the Best-of-Seven Fantasy RBI World Series against Doverbi Division champs The Poopydicks.

"What a great feeling," said OC owner and manager TBG in a joyous clubhouse after the game. "I never doubted this team for one second. Anyone who thought that there was a rift between myself and my GM is crazy. BDawk might be unfunny, but he knows how to win."

Gooden gave up seven earned runs over the nine innings, while scattering 14 hits. Gooden also helped himself at the plate,going 2-for-5 with a run scored.

The OC won despite being outhomered 4-1 by the regular season division champs, their lone homer coming on Dawson's two-run shot in the third innings. Mark McGwire led The Creamy Pirates with two home runs while driving in four.
