Nacho reporting.  Almost 12 hours completed.  About to start game 49.  Strassy and I have been going through hot and cold streaks with our hitting.  I shut him out about three or four games out of four or five, and he did the same to me the next four games.  He is ahead in the total series by approx. five games or so.

It has been difficult to play, but each red bull seems to help give us the boost we need.  It would also help if we could talk to anybody, since we have absolutely nothing else to take our mind off of the RBI music.  I have found that concentrating on other things has been helping my RBI skills, as it helps me relax.

We are on a fairly good pace, and haven't really slowed down much yet...

Nacho here.  It is 10:52 PM, and we just completed our 50th game.  Strassy has won 30 of them.  Bastard.  We are on pace for about 98 or 99 games (our last game went 12).

We have both noticed a very large amount of BOPs overall, undoubtedly because our players are very tired.  We have also only had on errant throw out of 50 games, and even that was with nobody on base.

Back to the grind...

in the top of the 8th inning in game 52, Denny Walling hit a solo home run to make the score 6-0.  why is this important, you ask?  because i have now hit a home run with every position player on the houston squad.  still no pitcher home runs, though.

nacho still needs home runs with ozzie smith, tom herr, curt ford, john morris, jose oquendo the baseball pirate, and steve lake in order to get a home run with every cardinal.

any ideas on other "challenges" i can complete to keep things fresh?

Rules
1. strait pitch pitching rules
2. defense cannot throw the ball when fielding, until your players foot touches dirt
3. defense cannot catch a fly ball that would hit the ground before the white line that begins the outfield
3-b. your fielders entire body must be behind the 'outfield line', in order to make the catch
3-c. your fielder is allowed to make a catch while touching the infield only if he 'snags' the ball and his glove is entirely over the 'outfield line'
4. all swings must be 'chipshots'
5. you win the game if you are winning by the number of innings completed, except after the first inning
6. if you make a 'bop' while touching the dirt, you are not allowed to throw the ball until you touch the dirt with full possesion of the ball
7. if the offensive team hits a 'walzie', they must forfeit the rest of the inning by allowing their players to strike out
8. any violation of a rule during play, results in an automatic HR by the next batter
8-b. if the player hits a HR over the fense in this instance it still counts for the defensive penalty

to keep ourselves sane, we are playing "marry/fuck/kill", where you list 3 girls, and hypothetically have sex with one, marry one, and kill the last one.  after lord knows how many combinations, we got to roseanne chicks...becky #1, becky #2, and darlene.

NACHO SAYS HE WOULD BANG DARLENE OUT OF THAT THREE!  SICK

i'd marry darlene, but only because i saw how caring she was towards david.  #2 becky gets raw dogged big time.  nacho is complaning that i made this information public, so here he is to weigh in:

Nacho here.  I chose to marry Becky #2, because she has the best personality and she is the hottest.  Darlene gets the nod to F over the first Becky because she cut the cheese in one of her Jr. High classes.

Oh yeah, we've played 56 games and are now starting number 57.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

well, nacho is living up to his name and sallying out.  we played 60 games and he said he was done.  in his eyes we got 60/100...60%, a D-, so a passing grade in the grand scheme of endurance RBI.  myself, i wasn't ready to call it quits.  i don't know if i had 100 in me, but I know that I can go longer than this.  so i guess this is as far as we got.  if i can wake him up before 10:30 tomorrow morning we may try and fit in more games.

i think i called it that he would quit before i did...unfortunately my predictions turned out to be accurate.  overall mood...not mad, but a little disappointed.

I won 35 to this point, he won 25.  i will eventually tally total offense numbers and pitchers by win.

i flew too close to the sun on wings of pastrami.

i'm calling the offically count of 14 hours, 49 minutes of nonstop RBI.

You guys made it to 60. Dont quit!
WAKE UP! WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the problem was support.  Two men out on an island of RBI will go stir crazy, they need diversions.  The GoReds team had the right idea: have people come over, feed you, talk to you, keep your spirits up.  It is unpossible to move to a new city, shack up at a shitty hotel, and then bang out 100 games of RBI.  Can't be done by mere mortals.  Especially without music.

A solid attempt, gentlemen.  60 is an impressive feat and one for the record books.  Next time, it needs to be approached with a better support plan.

TβG

judging from the overall record between you two, we can safely say that nacho has trouble scoring in all arenas of life.

Here is a statisical analysis of the 60 games that we did play:

Wins:  Strassy 35, Nacho 25

By Pitcher:  Ryan 20, Cox 12, Scott 11, Tudor 11, Kerfeld 4, Worrell 2
Dayley and Smith remained bags of ass

Nacho scored 115 runs, or 1.91 RPG.  Strassy scored 160 runs, or 2.67 RPG.  Although Nacho did have the only 10 run scoring output, he was also shut out an amazing 16 times.  Strassy was shut out a paltry 10 times by comparison.  Nacho scored 5 runs or more only 6 times out of the 60 games.  Strassy did it 12 times, still not that great.

There were 24 one-run games.

To all of the naysayers, I tell you to play ten games of RBI in a row.  Then repeat five more times.  See if you can go any further.  It is just too hard.

I was a little baffled as to why you wanted to do this in the first place

Reds

hey guys, my congratulations.  60 games is no small task and you carried yourselves longer than I thought, at a very good pace.

Once again I say, 24 consecutive hours by two guys isnt possible, allthough Briz and I may try....

I think this further solidifies our playing for 24 hours several weeks ago.

I'd be willing to wager that Octo and I have played over 30 games in a night before.
