Last night was a first for me.  At least that I can recall.  Sorry Mark.  Special bonus, I hit it with Jeffries from S.L.  The unsung hero, and MVP of the rubber match.   WOOOOO.

Chubbrock, may you die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

Oh yeah, it was Morris.  There is no Jeffries.

I had nightmares of that homer last night.  You rotten bastard.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

Pinch hit grand slams are key...  I won't hesitate to take anyone out with the bases loaded.  OK, I won't hesitate to take half the guys out with the bases loaded...

The pinch-hit boost makes them ripe for an appearance with the bases juiced...

chubbrock

A ha.  You're right, it was Morris.  Well, whatever.  It felt goood.  HAHA.  Good call Gentry.  Never thought of that.  In any other situation, Morris probably would have done shit.

It was truly a dagger to the heart.  It's alright.  I shall have my revenge.  Did I mention I beat the living crap out of Chubbs that very same night when he was the NL and I was SF?  Ha!

Yeah, but he did not have the luxury of using his hands, right?  Playing with your feet is the only excusable reason for losing that match up.

Gantry

I still gotta take down the computer with my feet, a couple people here have done so...

Played a foot game with either Jason or Potsie one night after a few too many.  Don't really remember if I won though.  It was certainly fun, a new twist to an old game...

chubbrock

A foot game!?  Holy shit.  I guess that's one way to stake claim to your controller.  I'm said to say I wasn't playing w/ my feet when I lost with NL.  I was just simply entoxicated.....I think.

We play random choice for teams, All-Stars included, my victory being the very reason.  Anything is possible, it makes it more exciting.

Has anybody here ever tried to play the computer with the control upside-down?  Kinda interesting (until you get the hang of it so much that it's no longer a challenge).

We also do not hesitate to use All-Stars just like any other team, and I must admit that I don't think they are so good as to justify not using them.  In curve pitch at least they are about as good as Boston, in my opinion.  The AL has shitty relievers and an average lineup after their ridiculous top four (assuming big mac gets subbed for randolph).  The NL's lineup is considerable more stacked but they have no bench and only two decent pitchers.  I think Boston, Detroit, and San Fran all can provide decent competition for either all-star team.  Plus its fun to try for a humiliating upset by being one of the other teams.  Of course in straight pitch the all-stars may very well be unbeatable.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

Rock hits the nail on the head for me and Chubbs.  It's all about the victory.  It makes it that much sweeter.

We play slurve (the ball may curve but must end up a strike,) and the All-Stars are still beatable.  It doesn't happen often, but we pull it off every once in a while.  There's really no penalty for losing with an All-Star team, just the incessant low-blows and reminders from the winner for weeks to come.

Hey Chubbs, Chili Davis rules!

Baines

We play straight pitch always with random team selection including all stars.  From my experience, AS teams are a little better but don't really have a huge advantage over Boston or Detroit.  As a general rule, most of our games involving all stars pretty much end up being won by the better player just like any other games.

An interesting trend though (which I'm sure is completely random and coincidental) is that NY seems to beat the all stars every time they come up in a matchup.  Otherwise they're a pretty average team but it's an ongoing joke with us b/c over the last few months, NY is on a 9 game winning streak vs. all star teams.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

this thread's all over the place, but do you guys ever play with the sound up and close your eyes to hit?  just going by the sound is interesting.

Playing without glasses is about as wild as I ever get...it's fun until I get a massive headache.
