Time for a new topic, who does everyone think the worst pinch hitter in RBI is?

Tough for me to say because there are a few guys I rarely use.  I used to think it was Davidson on MN until I started playing with them, he can do the job for me now.  At this point I'm going with Steve Lake on the Cardinals, I don't think he's ever done anything for me...

lake is one, davidson is pretty shitty,  oquendo is crap, but for me, the worst sub in the game would have to be joel youngblood... the guy is pathetic.

Youngblood is pretty much worthless after his first at-bat, though Potsie is pretty good with "big stud" on a pitcher sub...

Spirer is no picnic either...

I know I'm gonna hear it for this pick, but Marc Sullivan is by far the worst sub, at least for me.  He gets a pinch-hit opportunity every time I get to the 8th with Boston.  I could probably count his total hit-count on one hand.  He just flat out sucks!!!!

with those killer numbers, who'd of thought that marc sullivan would suck...  i agree lips, the guy just doesn't live up to the hype.  the odds are almost better if you leave the pitcher in.

those who think he is a cult-figure obviously are suffering from myopia.

The Sullivan needs clutch ABs, save him for the 9th.  He is in a bit of a slump now, but he has proven himself...

Steve Lake, on the other hand, is one of the few RBI pinch hitters who have zero memories for me...

you probably remember him crushing a ground ball to short or hitting a pop up to left cause that is all that guy does.  as far as allstars go... the worst subs are gwynn(for reasons i have already pointed out) and franco because he rarely comes through.

Ahhh, Sullivan.  Once again, he failed to impress.  Down 18-16 with one out in the bottom of the 9th...What do you think the Sweet Sweet Sully did?  A ground-out to third base.  Scrote MAGNET...  Scrote MACHINE...  SCROTE MAN-WHORE...

should have left your pitcher out there... at least then there is hope

Gwynn3k--

I think I noticed someone say something about Bill and Ted on this forum...  But I didn't pay too much attention to it.  All I want to say is, sweet quote...sweet movie...sweet sweet sweet.  I wasn't that much a fan of the sequel, though.  Non non non non non non heinous!!!!

its my all time favorite movie...
even as a history major... i have to admit that they did their research...
as for the second movie...
it is not the first but it is none the less a classic...

love the kiss song,  "God Gave Rock n' Roll to you" that they play at the end.

id have to go out on a limb and agree with lipz on this one...marc sullivan should not be allowed to bat....ive never ever ever gotten a hit with him in the near 15 years of me playing this game....with the way we play, im keeping the pitcher in because at least i know im getting a ball down the middle of the plate....

however, if larry herndon was a pinch hitter...hed be the worst....

i agree, gantry. lake is useless. i've seen him hit a few out, but it had taken him about fifty at  bats.
"is that fake blood?" "why yes it is."

as far as i am concerned... most pinch hitters bring an added chance of hitting a homerun in their first at bat.  however, there are those that just flat out sag... and arent even worth the effort of making the change.  they include in no particular order...
oquendo, lake, youngblood, sullivan, heep, and davidson

I disagree with Danny Heep, but that's a pretty good list there.  I'm also no big fan of Davey Lopes, though a few people here seem to like him.  To be fair, he hasn't gotten too many chances for me...

i am still mad at lopes for being a hypocrite...  remember last year when he got pissed at rickey cause rickey stole a base with a 7 run lead....    first off,  that is not an insurmountable lead...  (pittsburgh scored 8 in the 9th the very next day against houston)   and second...   lopes did the same thing as a player...   check yourself davey...

as far as rbi goes... he is not getting the job done...

my houston lineup.

garner, jcruz, walling, gina davis, seabass, doran, reynolds, puhl,

on some occasions... dickie gets to play   but lopes is strictly a late inning pinch hitter now.

the only thing i can say about lopes is that he has some quick feet....which pay off....garner is the true hero on that team....a true american original

garner has been so hot lately that i have even used him in place of denny walling... i know its hard to take a stud like that out of the lineup but garner has been on his game.  lopes is fast and has a chance to score a big run with his legs... not his bat.

I finally lost last night out here in Az, one of my teamates has been playing me everynight, I got a little lazy and viola threw too many pitches too close to the plate, Joyner and Jackson each had 2 bombs, those are my nemises, no doubt about it. Final score 4-3. Minnesota bats were afraid.

I got my revenge mollywhopping him in the next 5 games though.

Also to note Garner and Lopes came up big in the 9th both hitting pinch hit HR's. Was down 1 in the ninth, they saved my ass.
