Mookie Wilson is the guest on the Daily Show tonight.

Looked everywhere and couldn't find it but there was an episode of Spaceghost Coast to Coast where Spaceghost traded Moltar to some Japanese baseball team for Mookie Wilson, Omar Moreno, and a bag of cats. I did find one clip from the episode but not the part that mentioned the trade. I fucking loved this show

What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

Found some script from the episode;

Space Ghost: Oh yeah? Well, how about I also received Mookie Wilson, Omar Moreno, and a bag of cats.

Zorak: Oh, where are they? Break 'em out!

Space Ghost: Well, Mookie and Omar decided to sleep in...

Zorak: Yeah, yeah, yeah, what about the cats?

Space Ghost: What cats?

Zorak: They gave you cats, right?

Space Ghost: Yeah!

(Backstage, large yellow armored monster terrorizes three kittens)

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

My son used an '88 Topps Roy Smalley card as a creature token while playing Magic: The Gathering against me yesterday.

Sliver-Smalley was tragically killed by a zombie during my game-ending final assault.

Purely disliked getting R.B.I. 2 for NES back in 1990 and seeing George Brett and the Griffeys batting right-handed instead of left... among the many mistakes made in that game. With your mod editor in 2008 I corrected those issues when I crafted many ROM homebrew disks for my Dreamcast...  :-\ then

Should be noted that Tempo has officially claimed my RBI Arcade, he will shortly be the proud owner of it. Party at his place!

I can come and get it next week.  What night would work best for you? (I could probably also do the daytime on MWF if that's better)

Mon / Tues are best if you need my help moving.  I'm leaving early Thursday am to visit Ltrain, may stay in the city Wednesday night

I'll probably just need you to lend a hand getting it up the stairs.  My brother will come with me and he and I ought to be able to get it into my place on our own.

Got the arcade RBI from Gantry earlier.  Took it home and plugged it in.  RBI worked immediately, and after some tinkering around, I got the other side (Castlevania) to work as well.  The only issue is that I can't get the sound to work on either side.  But so far, two dogs in the bathtub for this acquisition.

I'm pretty sure I unplugged the speaker because it was loud as shit, don't remember the details but it shouldn't be too tough to hook up.

TempoGL

Found the speaker cables with some more digging.  By playing around with the settings on the monitor, I was able to get the volume at a reasonable level.  The only current issue is Castlevania sound effects work, but there is no music for some reason.  It doesn't seem to be a dip switch setting, so I'm kind of at a loss.

That part I don't remember, could it possibly be that the arcade version didn't have music?

Also be VERY VERY VERY careful with the back of those old CRT monitors, they keep a huge charge even when unplugged for awhile.

And I think you're the one who taught me this but remember the legs are adjustable if you want to make them higher.  Definitely easier to play when people are standing.

TempoGL

I was also thinking that castlevania might not have music, so I looked for a video of the arcade game on YouTube. It did in fact have music.

I don't plan to raise the legs. My old Golf/Excitebike unit was a stander and it felt a bit cramped.

Vs. Tennis has an option where you can play four players, two per screen, with the perspective changed for the appropriate team. I'm going to start looking for a Vs Tennis board that I can swap in and out as needed, because that sounds pretty awesome.
