Re-Peat

OK, so I know all fielders generally act the same on every team, but I have noticed something I'd like to bring to the attention of the court:

It seems to me that while all fielders run at the same speed, it seems that some fielders simply have better arms than others in the field.  It seems to me that my RF has an amazing gun, while the CF and LF never get the velocity that the RF can muster.  Please keep in mind I know the difference between the weak throws and power throws, and I'm only talking about power throws in this post.

I don't notice a similar difference between infielders, but certainly none of them throw like the RF either.

I did consider that ball thrown across areas of the screen either moves faster or seems to move faster to make the field more "even" (for example, throw from 3rd to 1st, then from 3rd to 2nd, there seems to be a significant speed difference) but I also noticed while screwing around that if the RF comes ALL the way in to the infield he still throws with amazing, even unmatched force.

Has anyone else noticed this?  Has it ever been debugged?

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

Actually, I believe that someone found that it isn't true that the fielders all move the same speed - the outfielders are a bit faster than the infielders (which I think makes sense, since outfielders are able to cover more ground than infielders, generally).

I have noticed that the RF throws well, but I usually notice that on throws to third, and I think the throw gets a boost because it's so long (like the 3rd to 1st throw you mentioned).  I wouldn't be surprised if a LF throwing to first got a similarly powerful throw.

I've looked at this too, but lacking scientific tools to take real measurements I have no way of knowing.

It seems to me that throws from LF to 1st are not nearly as hard as comparable throws from RF to 3rd.  Also, I've noticed that the RF has a gun when throwing to 1st, 2nd, and home as well as 3rd, blowing away the power of the CF and LF for the same bases.

Shit, the LF can barely make it to home sometimes.

This is kinda lame, but the throw from RF to third that gets cut off by the second baseman is probably my favorite thing in RBI.

And typically seems like the hardest throw in the game (sans Senor Smoke)

It should be mentioned the Saint used "sans" in a sentence on Saturday and I just about lost it.  After all these years she apparently had no idea I hated that shit so fucking much and somehow found a way to kick it up a notch by actually speaking the word.

I got her back by farting when I went down on her that night.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

That would be me, I pretty much took all the fielders to the wall and tested them.  God I used to have a lot of free time...

I thought the outfielders' throws went along with the same rules as the infielders.  If you hit the d-pad and throw button at the same time (or really quickly), you'll get some zip on the ball.

If you hold the d-pad wait a split second before hitting the throw button, you'll have a weak throw.

And you're more likely to bop it, at least with the infielders, not sure about the outfielders.

Re-Peat

I've had a couple quick-throw bops with outfielders too.

But like I said, I'm looking at differences in throwing speeds ONLY for fast throws.
