Since no real fest seems to be in the works this Winter/Spring

Are you serious?

There's an entire facebook group devoted to it.

I'm not really into that Facebook thing.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

unacceptable.  You need to get one if you are on this forum.  I have seen copies of RBI as well at used games stores.  I recommend the video game exchange for NES and RBI game.

Meh.  I usually have no one that would play with me so my emulator works just fine, and as Turd says it allows me to use crazy rosters which adds much needed spice to the otherwise stale single player play.

If you wanted to buy one for me I'd use it, but I wouldn't waste money on something I have for free on my computer.

You cough up you cheap bastard!  Seriously, they aren't that expensive and my point I was trying to make to you is if you want to find out if it works for your TV you have options to purchase a NES and RBI.  If you don't care that much about whether it works on your TV, then you made your point.

Then I hope you enjoy having no input into the fest.

Strong-arm tactic.

hooked RBI up to my 37" LCD flat pane and it is pretty sweet.  the left and right border do not extend all the way when the screen is on the field.  It's only about an inch at most on each side and it is not showing when you are in batter vs. pitcher screen.  So it's not perfect but I'm happy with it.  I played SF and gave COMP AM and I had to homer in the bottom of the ninth to win.  Close game, SF sucks by the way.  I tried to give the COMP a chance and this was a good matchup.  May try SF vs. NA tomorrow.

can't you adjust your "view" settings or "video" settings to put the view in the right place?  like it will placew two columns on the side of the screen to make it back into 4:3 format.

I tried the 4:3 format and it might be somewhat better but It shrinks the size of the video game screen and not worth it imo.  I dig the full screen view.

Are there any leagues in Chicago going on? I've been playing it nonstop for a while now and am interested in playing in some tourneys if they're available.

I just joined today after reading and following this site for almost two years. Rock on everyone! :D

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

bigbrothermuscle

How is it disturbing?

And yes, this is also the name of my band I'm putting together. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Anyone agree that even though Houston sucks, Charlie Kerfeld is a nasty pitcher to use against your opponent?

Turd

Yeah, I don't get how it's disturbing or disgusting either...

My brother and I play about 15 games per month.  We live one hour apart otherwise it would probably be about 75 games per month if we lived in the same town.

iowabob

quite possibly even 100 games a month

I just started playing again, 9-game "seasons,"  I'm up to the New York Mets now. Just finished with Houston.  They're not a bad team!  They have freakish speed, and they don't have one of those "weakling" guys on their team (Santana, Backman, Davidson, etc).  All their hitters are solid.

The only two non-pitchers I didn't hit a homer with so far are Barrett and Davidson (I have before, just not this time).  None went through the wall either. Corbett & Moore of California even got me an inside the park homer!

I used to rent this game all the time when I was in grade school/high school, before I finally bought it.

Davidson is a sub with MN, is he not?
