Pabst Blue Ribbons avoid sweep

Chicago (AP) - On the verge of being swept and with their backs to the wall, the Pabst Blue Ribbons responded in Blue Ribbon fashion by defeating the Ulrachers 22-19 at Soldier Field.

K.Hrbek led the way by going a perfect 6-6 at the plate with a HR an 3 doubles. He drove in 4 runners as well. Baylor and Lemon also were torching the ball as they combined to go 10-12 at the plate and combined for 8 runs. The no name offense finally woke up when they were needed most, as has been the case all year. The Blue Ribbons hit 7 homeruns as a team.

With the Ulrachers holding a slim 13-12 lead in the top of the 8th, the Blue Ribbons went on a 10-6 run in the final two innings to get their first win of the series.

Poopydicks cruise to victory, take 3-1 series lead

Milwaukee (AP) - Like a cat torturing a mouse on the cusp of death but not killing it, so are the Poopydicks doing to the Banana Hammocks. The Poopydicks had an easy time as they defeated the Hammocks 16-9 and now are one game away from moving on to the Dove RBI LCS.

R.Reushl went the distance as he limited the Hammocks to only 9 runs and K.Gibson led the way on offense with two HR's and 4 RBI.

The Poopydicks jumped out to a 11-2 lead after three innings and went on cruise control from there, seemingly doing enough or not enough to allow the Hammocks and the game to go the full nine innings.

The Hammocks will need a huge effort from Tudor and their offense tonight if they wish to stay alive. The Hammocks have looked outmatched and outhustled in the series so far.

Pabst Blue Ribbons mercy rule Fighting Ulrachers, gain momentum

Chicago (AP) - Don Baylor had an epic night and carried the Blue Ribbons to a 16-4 mercy rue victory in 7 innings to tighten up the series at 3-2.

D.Baylor's incredible performance featured 3 HR's, 5 hits in 5 at-bats, 8 RBI, and 4 runs scored. He was hitting pitcher's pitches and his pitches---basically anything near the strike zone. The Blue Ribbons got great pitching as well. Sutton and Bylven combined to only give up 4 runs in 7 innings. With their backs to the wall, the Pabst Blue Ribbons seem to be playing inspired baseball as they have done all year when the odds were stacked against them.

The Ulrachers appeared flat in front of a very angry crowd at Soldier Field. Mike Martz threw out the first pitch and garnered the biggest cheers of the day.

The series will move back to Arkansas at Razorback Stadium tonight for game 6.

Banana Hammocks stay alive, cruise to game 5 victory

Milwaukee (AP) - Stinky Sullivan and D.Hendrsn each hit a pair of shots while R.Clemens pitched extremely well in long relief to lead the Hammocks to a 17-13 game 5 victory.

Counted out by advanced scouts and the media, the Banana Hammocks used that as motivation as they came out and played sound baseball in front of their boisterous crowd of 85,000+ at home. For one game, the Banana Hammocks had the 'Look' and got great hitting, good pitching, and managed to not hit into their usual 2-3 double plays a game---and getting thrown out on the bases 3-4 times a game. The lack of speed was compensated by sound and inspired baseball.

The series will move back to the Turd Bowl in Phoenix for game 6.

MOTHER FUCKING STINKY SULLIVAN, REALLY?   I didn't even notice that when watching, have to pay more attention...

BeefMaster

I like that they pinch hit for Sullivan despite him having two homers, and the pinch hitter homered, too.  That's some impressive production from the 8 spot in the order.
