The question was already posed, "how do you want to handle late trades?"  I generally tend to lean towards late trades being reflected, even if it doesn't reflect an entire season worth of play...new arrivals to the team could move to the bench if needed...might improve some of the bench guys from last season, as most of them were pretty anemic in terms of power...

Perfect, thanks Kongo...any of these lineups will help me by saving me loads of time as well as serving the purpose of pleasing the fans of the teams.

BeefMaster

I'd agree with you that late trades should be reflected (so you can do playoffs and whatnot)... but what do you think about season-ending injuries?  I'm particularly wondering how to handle Morneau - he was the best hitter in the league until the All-Star break and hasn't played since - do you put him on the Twins, reflecting his partial season, or leave him off?  If nothing else, I guess, you could put him on the bench to imagine what could have been.

Twins' Lineup with Morneau:
Span
Hudson
Mauer
Morneau
Kubel (DH)
Cuddyer
Young
Valencia
Hardy

Without Morneau, Kubel and Cuddyer move up one spot, and Thome slides into the DH role batting sixth (not sure if DHs are an option here or not).

Bench:
Punto
Butera (replace him with Thome if including Morneau)
Repko (replace him with the DH in a no-DH lineup)
Casilla

Pitchers:
Liriano
Pavano
Crain
Capps

Crain could be replaced by Fuentes if you want a lefty in the 'pen, although he hasn't been with the Twins very long.

I think if he made it half the season, he probably deserves a roster spot...

angels: key problems are kendry morales's season ending injury at the end of may and acquiring dan haren late in the year.  though the two starting P's should probably be weaver and santana anyway. they also traded away their closer fuentes because he sucks, although rodney is not much better.  they had a million lineups this year.  at the beginning of the year they tried to have aybar lead off and gave brandon wood a chance at 3b. neither worked out in that role.  they eventually picked up callaspo to play third.  peter bourjos came up late in the year and they moved torii to RF.

DH

01 EAybar (SS)
02 Kendrk (2B)
03 BAbreu (RF)
04 Hunter (CF)
05 Matsui (DH)
06 Napoli (1B)
07 JRivra (LF)
08 Calspo (3B)
09 Mathis (C)

Bench:
B1 MIztrs (IF)
B2 Borjos (OF)
B3 Willts (OF)
B4 Wood (IF)

Pitching
SP1 JWeavr
SP2 ESntna
RP1 Rodney or Jepsen
RP2 Fuents or Rodney

I'm assuming you know who is a lefty and switch hitter.  Fuentes throws sidearm.

No DH:  (this lineup would reflect more how the year started)

01 EAybar (SS)
02 Kendrk (2B)
03 BAbreu (RF)
04 Hunter (CF)
05 KMrles (1B)
06 JRivra (LF)
07 Mathis (C) or Napoli for more power (flip-flop spot w/rivera)
08 Wood (3B)
09 pitcher

Fuentes may not have been much of a closer, but he has been a phenomenal (and extremely overpaid) lefty specialist.

Thanks for the feedback, I got all of these lineups in place...on to the rest now...

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Gantry

I used a DH so if pitchers are batting then put Colvin in at 1st PH and get rid of Barney.  I still say keep Z as a PH with an inflated power number.

Colorado Rockies

SP - Jimenez
SP - De La Rosa
SU - Betancourt
CL - Street

1 - Fowler
2 - Smith
3 - Gonzalez
4 - Tulowitzki
5 - Helton
6 - Olivo
7 - Stewart
8 - Barmes

B1 - Mora
B2 - Spilborghs
B3 - Giambi
B4 - Iannetta

The last bench spot doesn't matter much but Young, Hawpe (traded in August), or Herrera would also be acceptable.

Turd

Thanks guys, got 7 lineups set with your help...still working on how I'm going to revamp my pitcher ratings to make them more representative of their ability to strike people out.

Gantry, if you really want Zambrano in the official lineup, that's fine...

BDawk

Phillies

SP: Roy Halladay
SP: Cole Hamels
SU: Ryan Madson
CL: Brad Lidge

1  Shane Victorino
2  Placido Polanco
3  Chase Utley
4  Ryan Howard
5  Jayson Werth
6  Raul Ibanez
7  Jimmy Rollins
8  Carlos Ruiz (you may call him Chooch)

B1  Wilson Valdez
B2  Brian Sweeney
B3  Dom Brown
B4  Ben Francisco

Normally, I'd have Rollins leading off but it looks like Victorino will lead off going into the posteseason.  Also, tough call going Hamels over Oswalt, but Hamels was here all season and he makes a good lefty-righty combo

The Kongo

I doubt anyone else will give them a bone so here are the KC Royals

7 Mike Aviles
8 Mitch Maier

B1 Jason Kendall
B2 Alex Gordon
B3 Kila Ka'aihue
B4 Willie Bloomquist

My buddy was gonna, be he's an idiot.  Thanks...

Uh oh, Guillen isn't on the Royals anymore...might have to re-think the Royals...

Turd

Podsednik is on the dodgers too...no sweat though, my friend gave me his fanadvice for the KCR lineup...
