Curve Theme

I gotta say, I don't miss the other theme at all.   

Thoughts? 

PS - Anyone been using search?  Suck as bad as Dee-Nee 1.0?

I still find the "basic" search to kind of suck, but the "advanced" search seems to work better -- even with the exact same search argument. I might dick around with the weightings or maybe just kill the "simple" search.

Well now that it's built into the theme and saves a click, I say keep it.  Though admittedly I do the advanced search a good chunk of the time myself. 

Does advanced search do a full URL now instead of a get/post or whatever?  Maybe I should just try, but a firefox/chrome bookmark shortcut to search dee-nee with "rbi wacky japanese" to do topic only would be quite handy.

it would be sweet if you could search within threads.  for example, if i want to find all posts by a certain poster in a thread that has many posts (like the "things you hate" post), it will only show you one post by that user.  so whether they posted in a thread once or fifty times, you will only get one result.

The SMF forums (at their own website) have this feature. It ought to be available ... off I go ...

The search box (at the top of every page) now has a dropdown to search within boards / threads / Google / etc.

In reading docs and experiences from other users, it appears changing how our search function works may improve things. It's strongly recommended to take the forum offline before attempting to rebuild the search index, so I'll likely do that tonight (like 4am) and see how it goes.

I did a quick search for "people named Gantry that don't suck".  Produced 0 results.  Seems to be working fine

I went to switch Reds to the Girlyman theme and it's no  longer there

Inspired by this thread, I switched to curve. It's just fine. That's all I got.

I have switched back to the default theme.  Curve was fine, but not better to the point that I felt it was worth changing my Dee-Nee experience permanently.
