1. If you had to win one game, who do you give the ball to?

2. If you had one at bat- bases loaded, down 2 runs- who do you want at the plate.

For me, it would be Blyleven and Baylor.  I have a hard time with lefties, so I'd pass on Mr. October and Drugs.

I've been screwed by Baylor several times recently, so I'd see no reason not to want him at the plate.

Everybody's got their go-to guys, though, and I'm a bigger fan of Strawberry (drugs), in clutch situations.

As for the pitcher I'd want Clemens, I beleive just his presence on the mound in RBI reduces hitters abilities.
I hope he rests in peace, the trouble is the fellow owes me forty bucks"

1. Nolan Ryan
2. Reggie Jackson

Reggie is probably the most dangerous hitter in RBI...some might disagree with NoRy but he's got the endurance and the speed to keep guys off balance into the late innings.

I like Reardon on the hill, he has a knack for closing up shop.

At the plate, my money is on Jim Rice, who I like to call the best pure hitter in the game.  He really drives the ball, and he's a spray hitter too, all fields.

To pitch to just one batter, i like Juan "Tom" Berenguer, just because of that 101 mph fastball

For clutch batting I really like Dykstra. That combination of great hitting and speed mean he can usually find a way on base.

Again, another plug for Lenny-D, the best clutch hitter of our generation--either him or Mark Lemke.

True baseball scholars know I am not fucking around.

For Tengen League purposes:

1.) Mike Scott
2.) Tony Armas

I'll take Pat Tabler for that clutch bases-loaded hit...

i cant believe you'd take dykstra... the guy is horrible on this game...  down two runs he would be one of the last guys i'd send up there.

I agree with Gwynn 3k.  No way in the world would I go with Lenny D.  I would pinch hit Timmy Two Step if Nails were up in a big spot.  He's a bitch.

Considering you could use any player in the game... dykstra would not be the guy...   he is fast but like all the other speedsters in the game, does not understand the importance of hitting the ball on the ground...besides, the scenario was down by two runs so a single wouldnt help... plus  mookie would be up next...   another draw back...

theres a toss up as far as hitters go.....either tom brookens, who is unbeliveably clutch...or darrel evans, who always seems to get the hit when i need it....i dont think i could decide on talent alone, so we go to the tie break--facial hair....brookens, hands down

as far as pitchers go, although not the best starter by any means, but jack morris has won more big games with lights out performances than anyone else...he can take the helm anytime

As far as pitchers go im not sure who because pitching isnt one of my stronger areas.  But for a batter i would choose Wade Boggs. He's always come through for me when down by a run in the 9th and he hits more homeruns than u would expect.

boggs and jack morris?  come on gentlemen, step it up a little on the evaluations.

doyle gets the ball in game 1 and boggs gets pinch hit for.

ill concede that doyle alexander gets the start in game one, but that doesnt mean that jack morris isnt clutch....as far as ive seen, he is to the RBI as john havlicheck was to the 60's celtics...he didnt start...but when a big play needed to be made, a clutch shot hit, or a shot at the buzzer sunk, hondo was there to do it....so thats why i pick jack and coke
