I should be able to handle stats. I'll know more after this week when I try to use the software to do it.

E Davis should lead off

Well, he could and he would thrive there, but Leonrd also thrives batting leadoff. I see them as interchangeable as far as maximization. They both can hit one out at any time or get a hit to keep the inning going and clean up the bottom of the lineup with 2 outs. E.Davis may hit far more impressive moonshots or screaming liners over the fence, but Leonrd has good power to hit one out on any side of the field and match Davis statistically. Leo has an impressive contact-to-power raito and he's had some big seasons historically in Fantasy RBI. So either way, it's a wash for them if you take into account the damage E.Davis will be doing from the cleanup spot.

Here's how I see it. Baylor needs protection and I need insurance in case Baylor fails. E.Davis is just the guy to maximize more efficiently from the cleanup spot. Additionally, Davis has the speed (142) to get that extra base on singles and doubles to help Brett or Whtkr or Santgo manufacture runs since the majority of their hits will be singles and doubles. So from that perspective, I really need Davis in the 4-hole to help maximize the bottom of the lineup. Leonrd's speed is 134 - good but not 142 speed. Also, Leonrd's speed from the leadoff spot is not as critical since should he get on, he'll have HR hitters in front of him. So you see, there are multiple ways of looking at this. And our advanced scouting demands that Leo hits leadoff and that E.Davis hits cleanup.

So I hope this leadoff Canseco jinx drama continues to sustain itself - great storyline for the Fantasy RBI League. We need storylines to create some theater!

And by the way, Fighton, you really have elevated the product of the Fantasy League. You took things another step from how I ran it, maybe a light year of a step with the tracker and podcast.

And nomaaa asked about the stats. Of course Fighton is on top of that, but I'll also have my own private stash of stats to add to my historical stats. Plus, I'm going to be sure to track some exotic stats, such as putouts as a result of bad speed and how that factors in to a player's value - double plays as well.

Fuck, the Pinkmen were lucky as shit to survive that game. Took forever to get the bats going. New acquisition Burks shits the bed in key early situations, and top pick Bell hits into TWO double plays in his first two at bats and then ends an inning on the bases after reaching on an error in his third at-bat. Luckily the bottom of the order produced, including some major production from another new acquisition, DiCinces.

GDavis

So everyone is 1-1 so far, right?  Let's see if the Empire can keep the trend going.

DCincs went 5-5 with two jacks. He had a good game. Burks was 2-6 with a bomb. And that was crazy how Bell ... BELL hit into 2 straight double plays! He started the game 0-3 and ended up 2-5 - won't happen again, but he sure is off to a rocky start with you. And how about former Empire charlie hustle player, Doran! 4-5 with two 2Bs and one HR! What production from the 8th spot. Basically, your Pinkmen scored 7 in the 6th and 7 runs in the 7th which turned out to be the difference. It was 7-3 in favor of AOS and after the two furious rallies in the 6th and 7th, the score stood at 17-8.

McLane's AOS showed some guts by clawing their way back, but the gunpowder ran out in the end. Another good game! Lemon and Dwning had a big day for McLane - they combined to go for 9-12 from the top of the order. My old hitting coach, DaEvns, contributed with 3 hits, but he under performed with all that power. Armas killed you McLane. 2-6 with only sally singles. And Destroyer of Dreams didn't show up - Gedmn only went 1-4 and got a rare walk.

Another key difference - the pitchers for the Pinkmen went 2-4 and I believe that helped manufacture more runs in the 6th and/or 7th.

I know, so much pressure on the Empire so early in the season. We got a brand to live up to and of course exceedingly high expectations that Darth Vader demands. May the Force bless the Empire.

Sntago was caught walking to the outfield to shag balls during BP today. That is a no-no in our program. Nobody is ever allowed to walk on the diamond at any given time. Vader gave him a light death choke and in his trademark voice in a calm and cold manner, gave me the order to bench Sntago for the rest of the year. Meanwhile, Pena has been promoted as the starting C. Vader forced the clubhouse guy to stretch Sntago's butt with the special starhole blast lightsaber to set an example. Sntago won't be cut due to the Empire's diversity program.

Vader allows me to do the lineup, but everything else has his handprints. He's got the advanced scouts working 24-hour shifts to find an edge. Things are a bit tight around here on the Imperial Star Destroyer.

MOS, what's your deal? Be cool man, fuck. Nevertheless, The Empire welcomes all hecklers at the Imperial Center for the Monday Friday Night Game of the week!

And for the record since fightonusc brought up the "grudge match" in his wonderful podcast, I don't dislike anyone in this forum. The only guy I have ever passionately disliked was Attez. It was a great feeling when the Empire smoked Attez's Fighting Artichokes in the League Champion Series, 3 games to 1 in season FRBI V when The Empire won it all.

And with our backs to the wall, The Empire has performed a shadow ritual to summon Don Baylor into the 16-bit world in the form of a spirit. The Force will be strong in him. May the Force bless The Empire tonight.
