Is there already a "major league" movie ROM hack?

I was watching major league tonight, and started wondering about using the rbi editor to make a CLE team with the starters from the first movie. Took some rewinding, but I have all the starters. Before I start making the ROM for myself I figured someone may have very well already done it, but I didn't see such a ROM in the database.

Has anyone already done this?

Thanks

What the fuck are you talking about? The chinaman is not the issue here, Dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, Dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, Dude, chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.

I don't think so, but that's a GREAT fucking idea.

I think we once (or twice) talked about doing a ROM of great fictional baseball teams, like Major League, Bad News Bears, etc.  And having a couple All Star teams of guys like Roy Hobbs, Bill Chapel, etc.

I attempted it, at least partially, in Hardball 3 on the PC back in junior high, but I have not done it in RBI. All I can remember is the obvious top of the order:

Hayes CF
Taylor C
Dorn 3B
Cerrano RF

That game based power and contact abilities on batting average and homers, although I think only Dorn's stats are explicitly mentioned in the game (his batting average and RBIs are mentioned before his single in the 8th in the playoff game), so I made the other stuff up. I think I had two or three other guys in the lineup named (I want to say the #9 hitter is named before Hayes comes up in the 9th of the playoff game, and a couple fielders might be mentioned; I want to say the shortstop is something like "Donello"), and I think there were one or two other pitchers besides Vaughn and Harris that were named.

Trying to put together the lineup led to the observation that the Indians threatened to tack on more runs in the 8th inning of the playoff game, because two guys had to reach base after the homer in order for Hayes to come up with two outs and the bases empty in the 9th. Also, while it did not change the outcome, it was a very odd strategy for the Yankees' manager not to have the Duke start the 9th inning, particularly since they'd allowed at least four baserunners in the previous inning (so it's not like he was keeping in a starter pitching a gem).

Tomlinson - lf
Hayes - cf
Cerrano - rf
Dorn - 3b
Reyna - SS
Larson - 2b
Metcalf ward - 1b
Taylor - c

As far as I can tell, Hayes is leadoff and Taylor bats second. Dorn hits third, cerrano cleanup, then I don't know anything until the ninth hole which is Tomlinson.

Maybe I'll work on it after the holidays are over

Old slow catcher batting second is a weird coaching decision.

I agree with that. While doing my research it struck my quite odd. He is a 6-8 hitter at best, possibly 9 with the DH

But not that out of line if the old guy has a good OBP and can smack it around some - the DBacks did it to decent effect with Iannetta in 2017.  The Rockies tried to do it some with him in 2018 but he was back to his old .220 self

Di he ever try to bunt for a base hit in the ninth inning of an important game?

fathedX

Nah, the leadoff hitter wasn't fast enough to score from second so he tried to work a walk instead

My personal observation is that Iannetta is built like Spongebob Squarepants.
