Wally Backman Fired?

Just heard on the radio that Wally Backman has been fired as manager from the Diamondbacks after one week.  Apparently he assaulted some chick (family friend) a few years back so the 'Backs fired him.  Can you say "Wall of Shame"?

Agreed, it was virtually impossible to have a worse coaching tenure than Al Pedrique but Backman pulled it off.  I salute you Wally!

-they hire Backman
-they find out about Backman's past transgressions but say it's okay
-days later it's apparently not okay and Backman gets fired

I'm hereby putting an RBI curse on the DBacks for not keeping their consecutive former RBI player turned major league manager alive.
