Is this a no-hitter

I used Krukow the other day against Boston.  The only "hit" he gave up was when I misplayed a flyball.  I was camped, and I just misplayed it.  Not a computer BOP error, I just was not in the right place.  Clearly a real scorer would have called it an error, but the game calls it a hit because it bounced.  No-hitter?

No, even in MLB, a ball that the OF doesn't touch is often ruled a hit (balls that are lost in the sun).  Sorry, no no-hitter.

I agree it is sometimes ruled a hit but not always.  Buckner didn't touch Mookie's ball- that must have been ruled an error.

That was on a ground ball to the infield - ultimate7 is refering to a fly ball to the outfield. Even if the outfielder "should" catch it, if it hits the ground without touching him, it's a hit...

use the rbi scorekeeper.  sure, he's a complete dolt, but he makes the rules.

If there's anything other than a 0 in the H column, then you didn't pitch a no hitter.

rbi scorekeeper is a fudgepacker.  groudball to pitcher, BOP, but pitcher recovers and throws the guy out.  he calls it an error.  he cannot and will not be trusted on my watch.

True, the "scorekeeper" is bullshit.  But look at it this way, there are faults in the game that can also protect your no-hitter.  For example, if you give up a hit, and throw the runner out at 2nd or 3rd, no hit is awarded, but in MLB rules, the hitter would get credit for at least a single or double, depending on how far they reached safely.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that in my opinion, it evens out.  But as Ryno said, not a no-hitter unless there's a zero in the hits column.  But hell, it's your game, play it and judge as you like.

i 10 runned the angels in 2 innings and they went 0-6 at the plate.....does that count as a no hitter?

Joe,

One time BurksForLeadoff threw a no hitter against me, except, for one grounder to second that the second baseman bopped, he threw to first and the runner beat it out.

RBI scorekeeper awarded a hit and an error and we did not even consider that a no-hitter.....to be a true no hitter, it must be done in the eyes of the game
