I still want to know which of the 4 didn't strike out Tim Raines.

Andres Gallaraga. solid guess this time.

Thought about him, but its very unlikely that Carlton ever struck him out, I bet its a pitcher

Still no right answer.  I will let it go another 45 minutes, then I'll give a hint.

You're talking NES, right?  'cause I know for a fact Rickey be Rickey was the 5,000th K for Ryan Nolan.

Yes, the '86-'87 version.  His name appears in one way or another somewhere in this thread (more than once).

Chili Davis?  or maybe Eric Davis?  (though I don't know if Carlton and he overlapped enough)

You got it.  I guess this was tough just because there is no real way to really look it up online.  I remember reading this on one of those Baseball Trivia calenders I had last year.

Let's do a couple of easy ones now.
What RBIer has grounded into the most career Double Plays?
&
What RBIer has the record for most career ABs w/o a grand slam?

I still want to know which one didn't strike out Raines, does anyone have any idea of ways to look that kind of thing up?

Will Clark also struck out against all four members of the 4,000 K club:

vs. Carlton

May 27, 1986 Giants vs. Phillies

Clark strikes out against Carlton in first and fourth innings

vs. Ryan

Many times in 1986 and 1987, including...

September 9, 1987 Giants vs. Astros

Clark strikes out three times as Ryan fans 16 over eight innings to pick up the 4-2 victory.

vs. Johnson

July 5, 1998 Rangers vs. Mariners

Clark strikes out twice as Johnson fans 12 to get the complete game victory, 8-4.

vs. Clemens

July 17, 1997 Rangers vs. Blue Jays

Clark strikes out twice as Clemens fans 10 in a five-hit, 9-1 victory.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Wierd.  Maybe Chilli was the first to accomplish this feat or something, or maybe the calendar just had a wrong question.

By the way, Ozzie is the correct answer to the "grand slam" question.

There are some lists online where you can look up a complete list of players and who they all struck out against.  I am denied access to these sites from work though.  I am waiting for them to deny my forums access too.  Although I can still log into the forums, I can't go to www.dee-nee.com.

This is how the question was worded:
Who is the player that has been struck out by all 4 members of the 4000 K club?
a) Dwight Evans
b) Gary Carter
c) Rickey Henderson
d) Chili Davis

This is misleading.  By saying "the player", it makes it sound like there is only 1.

Fighton, where did you get that info?  Did you just look up a bunch of games?  It really seemed like there had to be more than 1.

I have no idea if there are more than just Chili and Will Clark. I went and looked at players that would have played in the right leagues at the right time and used Retrosheet to look up box scores.

Still, props to stock for these questions.

Thanks, I will try not to do any more fuckups.

Did anyone get the player who grounded into the most double plays yet?
