Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

Against the CUBS.  That gives him extra points in my book.

NOTE: My book is worthless.  And it is only metaphorical, anyway.

ericdavisfan

Nacho's book is not metaphorical.

Here it is

all i can say is that Mark Prior was Pwned by father time.

Attezzobal

Mark prior fucking sucks, when will everyone stop sucking his cock? I wrote to OctoFranco the night it was delayed and predicted six earned, I'm so proud of myself...

To keep on topic, what's the word on Benito? No way the Mets stick with Brian Daubach as their #1 off the bench, is there?

I hate the Mets

RedBarron

i think much of the cubs problems could be their catcher.

i like barrett, but last year, Blanco had some kick ass catcher stats.  The cubs won a big majority of the games he started.

this year, the cubs are over .500 when Blanco  starts.  they  are well under .500 when barrett starts.

If I'm not mistaken, Blanco started the game Prior pitched

Didn't you recently start a thread lobbying Barrett to be the starting NL Catcher and making it seem like the holocaust when he inevitably didn't get it?

JoeDirt

Attezz....I still owe you $50...I'm an ass for having not sent it yet---I sorry.

On a related note--thanks for the good time.  You were worth every penny.

he still leads NL catchers (or is at the top) in many hitting categories.  He messed up his shoulder a while back and his average has really suffered because of it.  He's back to full strength and has been playing well the last 3 or 4 games.

TβG

i remember, one time, when this thread was about four guys who played RBI and MLB.  you know, john, julio, roger, benito... those guys.

"Julio Franco is a god, plain and simple.  He could hit .300 when he's 60..."

What do you mean when he is 60?  For all we know he already is...

John Miller said last night that when Julio hits a homer after August 15th, he will be the oldest player to homer in major league history.  The record is currently held by a pitcher that I can't remember.  This may have already been posted, but I thought everyone could use a reminder.  :)

Jack Quinn...I'm a loser.

Julio also holds records 2-11. Including oldest for a grand slam.

DamnTheCowboys

Julio just hit a 420 foot double and then scored on a home run.

You cannot keep these RBI guys down

I'm adding this link to the original message since Rickey is a Arcade RBIer and since he's playing.  His OBP for the Surf Dogs is .464 and he is 14/16 SB.

since they were both playing for the astros this season, do you think it occurred to either John Franco or Roger Clemens that they were both in RBI together?  Do you think they may have discussed it?  Are they even aware of RBI?

I doubt Clemens would know, Franco is a most likely not.  Julio Franco knows, and he's pissed about being so shitty in the game...
