Good  responses so far, keep em coming!  Changed it to "best batter in RBI"  - thanks for the input...

There is no way that I want the Hawk up with the game on the line. Plus, he wants children to be like him and copulate. 'Nuff said.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Why?  He has the highest (natural) power on the game. He has the highest power minus contact on the game.  He has above average speed.

It's Reggie, hands down. I can get totally fooled by a pitch and it's still a bomb. Plus, you better not even think about having a righty throw to him, it's a bomb 95% of the time, lefties are the only way to keep him in the yard (some of the time).

Raines on NL is the next best, but his being an all-star kind of disqualifies him.

I assume 95% is a huge exaggeration?
Anyway, not so sure what everyone has against allstars.  Whenever we had house tournaments, all teams were fair game.  And allstars were normally not any more effective than Ca, Bo, and Dt.

Overall, 95% might be an exaggeration, but I'd say over the last 5-10 games, I don't think a righty has kept Reggie in the park against me.

I mean against me, ie I am pitching to him with the game on the line. He was my choice for #1 overall hitter.

I went with DaEvans.  He's a homerun waiting to happen.  Reggie is a very, very close second.

RedBarron

i went with hJose.

I fear that sumbitch.  When I have him on my team, I mash with him.

And he's a sexy beast.

I can't believe Jim Rice has 3 fucking votes.  The guy isn't even the best player on his own team, for crying out loud.  I'd rate Baylor ahead of him for sure and rate Armas just about equal with him.  And let's not forget Tim Burks, either.

I agree.  I didn't even realize he had that many votes 'till you brought it up.  I can think of 15 guys off the top of my head better than Rice.  And, right, he is the 3rd best on that team.

apparently nobody watched the fantasy season of RBI, the OC's george bell was the man, ATG style how is he not 1st in somebodies draft after what we all witnessed.... don't hate on the all-star my friends.

Don't get me wrong, Jorge "Power Man5000" Bell is the man.  And it is completely understandable that he could go on a terror in any given fantasy League.
However, sometimes you have to look at the numbers.  Bell is probably only the 3rd best on Am.  I would have to go with Big Mac and the Chemist over Power Man, since they both are faster and have higher power ratings.

Remember that the Hawk had a batting average of .730 during the season, almost 100 points higher than anyone else in the league.

This led to the quote, "even the best fanatasy RBI batters make an out 30% of the time"

Wow!  That is an amazing stat for ATG against human players.  I would think a .730 avg would be tough to do against the fckncomputer.

That .730 was from the fantasy season (all WATCH games)

RedBarron

it tends to help a ball player out when children copulate him  :'(

Also, I've always found Jorge "ortega taco" Bell to be a bag of smelly ass.

Mark

Reggie.

So great in the late innings when pitching gets slow in curve pitch style gameplay.

Oh?
Probably even more remarkable the computer was able to bat .730 with a batter.

Yes, but you have to take into account that the CPU was also fielding.  But still #2 was .632 so it was impressive.
