The Twins took Jupiter, FL High School shortstop Andrew Thompson with a compensatory second-round draft choice.  Andrew is the son of Robbie Thompson.

I haven't been able to find any news articles mentioning this - it was relayed secondhand on a Twins message board.  Unfortunately for Andrew, the post described him as having a simlar game to his father, so he'll suck when we make our RBI 2k9 ROM with him in it.

Now, onto the task at hand, which other RBIers have spread their seed into today's MLB?  Is Michael Barrett the son of Marty Barrett?  Doesn't Tim Raines have a son either in the MLB or in the minors?  Does Julio Franco have any grandkids that are rising through the ranks?  Perhaps there is a list of such legaces somewhere on Dee-Nee that I simply haven't found yet.

Michael and Marty - no relation.  Tim Raines Jr. just got outrighted a couple of weeks ago (I think) - he may be done for good at this point.

It's really unfair that your post count will surpass mine in a day or two.

Try "editing" posts as opposed to posting a line and then another one 25 seconds later more often...And maybe you could delete some of your more assanine posts since I know how much you love deleting posts.
