Believe it or not, according to ESPN, the Yankees have hired Daryl Strawberry as a "player development instructor": http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1661049

The article mentions (apparently seriously) that he has "overcome" drug additiction, despite the fact that he has relapsed a half-dozen times and just got out of prison in April.  I say he doesn't make it through Spring Training.

Maybe Steve Howe was also the bastard son of The Boss.  Or maybe, just maybe, The Boss has a soft spot for crack and coke addicts because he too, used to be one.  That's a stretch.

There is no way I'm gonna but him in charge of my impressional--often still teenagers--young players.  The last thing in the world I need is for my entire farm system to be come infested with a drug problem.
