I forgot I had this picture, I think i saved it when this thing was for sale on ebay or something.  I don't really have anything else to say, it pretty much speaks for itself.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

What is the connection between knights in armor and baseball or Angels?
Maybe drugs is the only rational answer.
You're going down, chainsaw.

vgp100

Is (was) that Donnie Moore on the left?
That's all I'm going to say about that.
You're going down, chainsaw.

fknmclane

Yeah, Donnie would have died far earlier if this were the real Crusades.

Impressive, yet another pic for the site somewhere....

that is a freakin' awesome picture.   i might be able to give some background on that as well.  i live in anaheim born and raised.  this looks like it was done at medievel times, the dinner and tournament tourist trap.  it's still there in buena park (right next to anaheim).

i really enjoyed the pic, i think i remember that halo magazine cover -- it's their souvenir program that every park sells.

donnie sure does give new meaning to "Black Knight" doesn't he?

oh yea, and there should be an old one floating around of downing coming out of a phone booth (a la superman), grich surfing, and wally on the dumbo ride at disneyland.  I'm not making any of those up... you will find them.  i wonder if someone has scanned all those old programs, i bet all the rbi teams would have some crazy stuff.

What's really amazing is that baseball players once looked like regular Joe's like that rather than roided-up superfreaks.

Gantry

Absolutely, always cracks me up when I watch ESPN Classic games from the 80s.  All the players look tiny, as if I can beat them up.  Which of course isn't true...

fknmclane

Watching ESPN Classic is a strange experience.  It's almost like the players from before the mid 90's are from another planet.  It's totally insanse.

Well, I guess we all know where Donnie Moore's suicidal thoughts originated, now.  We've finally debunked the myth that he couldn't handle the fact that he blew the 86 ALCS.

Reggie should've done that photo.  It would have made people forget about the "Reggie Bar."

fknmclane

Side note:  the story goes that Donnie killed himself because he blew that series.  It couldn't be further from the truth.  The dude had some serious issues.

The ALCS couldn't have helped, though.
Maybe the straw that broke the camel's back.

If so, will the next generation be lamenting the loss of B.Y. Kim, as we do Donnie Moore?  Also, I'm sure this has been remarked before but does anyone think there is a link to Dudley Moore? That would make a sad story worse.

Reds

Hey cmon....y'know   does it really matter why Donnie killed himself?  Isn't it more important that he's dead now...and he can forver be Buckner'd in fans eyes....and that we can all enjoy the WAY he killed himself...because he was a crazy son of a bitch....

I dont think there are many days that go by that I dont wish if I gotta go....I hope it is in horrific fashion in front of my own family....

I've always thought that if I had to choose the manner of my own execution, it would be beheading with a sharp guillotine.  Decapitation is something I've always been kinda curious about.  Of course, I don't plan on that anytime soon, and I doubt that if I were convicted of a capital crime they'd let me do that anyway.

Chinese water torture.  No fucking way.  That's brutal.

I too have heard that your brain still functions after being separated from your body, via guillotine.  If I had my head chopped off I would scream a la The Black Knight in Monty Python, "Come here!  I'll bite your face off!"
