Wow.  Who voted for Kirby in the death pool?

They must have meant neuro surgery.  They'll probably take him to St Josephs Barrow Neurological Center.  Best place in the world from what I'm told.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

Caveman

Good to know the man is in good hands.

It's performed by Keanu Reeves.

they said on the radio this morning that his weight is rumored to be up near 400 pounds right now...

I hope Tony Gwynn is paying attention.

TempoGL

i think that despite being also really fat, tony gwynn is taking better care of himself.  puckett seems to have become a complete and utter mess.

Update: Puckett is in critical condition, although no real details are available.  Torii Hunter was too upset by the news to play in yesterday's spring training game, and Gladden left his radio gig to fly to Arizona to see Kirby.

Interesting thing I just learned from the article - Kirby was engaged and scheduled to be remarried in June.

Mr. Blubbo

That sucks.

But what does this statement mean:  "He's a big part of the reason I play this game," Jones said. "He's the reason I play it the way I play it. He's a great person. We all learned from him, me, Torii, Matt Lawton, LaTroy [Hawkins]."

I know what it actually means but Jacque Jones is saying that he plays the game becuase of Kirby?  Come on.
Here's your ball!

Dammit.
I went with Hrbek since I figured he would be the most fat and out of shape right now.  I guess I should have done my research first.

I said it once and I'll say it again - stock is smart

"He's the reason I play the way I play it"

Maybe Kirby instilled some sort of work ethic in him that he's carried throughout his career.

Well, it definitely takes some "work" to become 400 pounds.

Yes he said that but before that he said, "He's a big part of the reason I play this game,"

That just means that Kirby gave him sterroids. . .  . .and some baby back ribs.

I knew Kirby was getting huge (there were quite a few pictures of him around the time of his trial), but I completely forgot about that when voting in the dead pool.

Hrbek has a fishing show now, so he at least stays thin enough not to sink his fishing boats.

Well, I guess I will just have to start pulling for a freak boating accident.

Just a thought, but it seems possible that Jacque didn't rehearse the quote prior to speaking with the reporter and slightly misspoke.
