What is involved in this "fuck you" mclane?  Does it sit for a long time and give you a page cannot be displayed or something similar? 

The database does some funky stuff lately, I think it does some sort of daily maintenance and it tends to lock out the forums while its happening...

Yes, when I click on the forums link from the main page it just sits there for about five minutes and nothing happens.  Then an error page comes up saying server not found.  It's always at the same time of day around 4:30 here or so.  Not sure if anyone else has had the problem.

Same here.  I was just about to send Gantry an email when I decided I should refresh the page first, and it came up.  The Dee-Nee homepage loaded just fine, but the forums wouldn't do anything.

Same here. It seems to be happening on Mondays. Although it is 630pm cst here.

I had the same problem as TBG at around the same time. I tried at about 4:05 p.m., and it kept "waiting for forums.dee-nee.com" without ever a) going to the forums or b) getting a "Site Cannot Be Found" screen.

I noticed as well, the database was doing something that was using a buttload of CPU.  Usually I stop the database and check the tables, but I figured to wait it out.  So 30 minutes was the downtime?
