That does sound awesome and vs Tennis really wasn't a too bad of game.  Board swaps are easy

TempoGL

Yeah, I've watched a few videos on YouTube and the board swaps are so easy that it's almost silly to NOT do them.  I also read that the Vs. System was essentially a conversion of Donkey Kong and Popeye machines.  I want to figure out if those are swappable PCBs as well.

I can't guarantee that all the controllers on Castlevania are good.  In fact I may have swapped boards at some point so RBI was using the side with the best controllers.  Been awhile, this could all be BS

Castlevania was played for a few minutes and my brother and I didn't notice any problems.  If there's an issue, it's probably the second player controls.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

The first thing I always think is RBI Baseball 3: playing against my brother.  It's a nonspecific memory, but we played it under the same roof for about 12 years.  We didn't care that we kept getting new baseball games for SNES, N64, PS2, etc... We kept going back to RBI3.  Now we're adults and he has three kids, and we still play a game when we've got a few minutes when we're in the same town.

Now the music is in my head.

Good news if you're in the Twin Cities and would like to meet an RBI LEGEND: Tim Laudner will be appearing at the TwinsDaily.com Winter Meltdown event in Minneapolis.  Also appearing will be Twins president Dave St. Peter and one other player who has yet to be revealed, plus a bunch of Twins bloggers.

Is that other player Larry Walker?  Because that would rule

Bio said Kirk was an All-American in both baseball and football and Michigan State.  That's impressive...

Does MLB players who start in college usually go there for 4 years or is it more of a bball thing?  Seems like to hit the minors at 22 or so can be a major disadvantage, but then against maybe college is competitive enough.

College-level competition is good, but no match for the high minors (which the best prospects can reach by the time they'd be college juniors or seniors - Mike Trout was the best player in baseball at 20, although he's an extreme example).  Generally, you get a lot more elite pitchers out of college than elite hitters, because hitting is easier to develop early.

My wife's cousin got drafted while he was in college, something like 30th round by the Reds.  He decided not to sign, then had a bad season the next year and didn't get drafted again.

Yeah that's surprising.  He was a pretty good coach though right?  Probably not for the Yanks though

ultimate7

He was a 5 time All-Star as a Yankee and had 2200 hits mostly as a Yankee 2B.  Also 1980 he had a great year .427 OBP reaching base 270 times in only 138 games and 30/35 SB.
