2008 Stock Fantasy League Results

Shooty, Gantry & Nacho have requested that I "pettis" every time 1st base is open with Womack/Deshields/Collins.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the approximate speed threshold at which it no longer becomes a good idea to pettis?

Really?  Collins is a 148.  Maybe I should just have Stock swing freely.

I was just kidding, it's been my experience that a good Pettis works as long as the speed is about 138, 155 and above should outleg anything hit to the left of the second baseman, regardless of who fields it (maybe not the pitcher)

Then a pettis with Collins it is, unless first is occupied.

Seeing as Pettis' speed was... what, 140? And tops in the game was 148, I doubt Collins will have much of a problem.

Picture exactly the same NFC Playoff structure in football.
4 division winners and 2 wild cards.
Top 2 division winners get first round byes.

All playoff games will be best of 3 series with the better seed getting homefield in all games.
Championship will be best of 5 (alternating home/visiting fields).  Home field advantage in game 5 to the better seed.

As far as the ROM...  I have several ROMs so I can match all the teams together.
Let me know if you want a ROM with your team, and I can post it.

for me, I guess use the Pettis with Furcal if no one is on 1st

just use your best judgment on how to get him on base anyway possible - he's got some pop, so don't be afraid to swing away with him if you're in a groove

But since it's Furcal, make sure you set to bunt on the first pitch of every at bat, while walking out of the batter's box while the pitcher goes into his delivery.

Then get the bat head out and rip one down the line and go runnin'

Here are 2 roms where the divisions are kept together.

Don't get picky about the team names and uniforms.  You can change those yourself in the editor if you see fit.
For my purposes, I only need the lineups and all the hitting stats correct.
