Also, 28 writers did not vote for Rickey Henderson. I bet that crack they are smoking is good.

Mark

The growing popularity of RBI Baseball must be the cause for the extra push to put Jim Rice over the edge. This is a great day.

Darky

Congrats to Jim Rice...any rbi player that awesome deserves to be in the HOF.

And that boggles my mind that Rickey Henderson is not in. In fact, it's fuckin bullshit.

I'm still waiting for Harry Spillman to get in the HOF...best player off the bench in the clutch, no?

Darky-  Rickey is in, he just received "only" 94.8% of the vote as opposed to the 98-99% some expected

Oh, I guess I should read the baseball news...my bad.

Kinda tough during high tide for the NFL....and Tecmo.

Thanks for the heads up Ultimate...I would have never known.

And congrats to Jim Rice once again. This is a Dee Nee victory!

Same game was on this morning, but I only got to see him fly out.  Astroturf, dude.

I never actually thought that Rice would make it, especially in his final try. That is so awesome! Congrats to Rickey & Rice.

And at least Baines gets to stay on the ballot another year, he got over the 5% required. I dunno about his case for the HOF, but if Edgar Martinez somehow gets in, Baines should definitely too.

Blyleven is close, how many more tries does he have?

What the fuck are you talking about? The chinaman is not the issue here, Dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, Dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, Dude, chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.

Metal King

Just by four votes though, basically the same!!!!

They both belong but I don't think neither will make it. McGwire may need 20 tries.....

Raines does hold the alltime best base stealing percentage too.

There's already a "Rock" in the hall of fame, but there's room for another one.

And 3,700 strikeouts is too good to pass up, Blyleven will have his day....

MR R.B.I.

To bad Donnie Baseball will never get in.  :(

Happy to hear Jim Rice got in. If Ricky gets in so should Raines.

play ten years and you qualify.

Whoever voted for Jay Bell should be shot in the face.

Same thing for the cunts that didn't vote for Rickey.

Everyone's on the ballot (unless it's their second year, then they must have gotten 5% the previous years).

This is assuming that whoever voted for Jay Bell didn't have enough room on the ballot for Rickey?

Cause, ya know, that absolutely wasn't the case.
