What you got for grueling extra inning stories?
Had an 18 inning ordeal with my buddy today in anything goes style.

Houston(VS STL) won it in the bottom half 1-0 with a double by hatcher and then scored on a single with 2 outs.  I got 10 fkn innings out of kerfeld to start the game  ryan came to throw strong for the 8 as well.

Kerfeld went into the 11th but couldnt get anyone out and was pulled.  Tudor made it thru 9 IIRC.

I played an 18 inning marathon once with my buddy chuck.  1-1 tie...I homered in the bottom of 18 for the win.

hmmm, now that i think about it seems nacho/strassy had a tale of 22 innings with Houston/STL.

We had a game that was SF vs either NL or AL and that went 12 or 13.  pretty long for some big bats, but i recall trading scores at least once to keep the game going.

Yeah, I think I won (as SL) in the 21st or 22nd inning on an Ozzie Smith homerun, if I am not mistaken.  That was back in 2000 or 2001, so it's been awhile.

The longest Chubbs and I went was 18 innings.  Houston and New York, not a huge surprise.  Don't remember exactly who won but I do know heavy, heavy drinking contributed to the low-scoring affair.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

I like to bring this up whenever I can, so I'll state it here again:

The longest I ever took a perfect game was 10 innings with Danny Cox during Strassy and my RBI marathon about 2 1/2 years ago.

I believe he pitched a perfect game against me in 2001 while I was either under the influence of mushrooms or a pot brownie, can't remember which.

Stock and I had a 11 inning Hou-Mn batting practice game yesterday.  I think the final was 9-8 or something ridiculously low scoring.  Craig Reynolds and Brunansky were the beasts.

You better think about it baby

You would have beat me if it wasn't for you refusing to take Walling out of the game.

I said it once and I'll say it again - stock is smart

Strassy and I had a doozy, something like 17 innings with Stl vs Hou

leave us not forget about the time I threw a complete game victory (six hitter) with Charlie Kerfeld against you.

i think i am involved in so many long games because i consider my strength to be pitching.  i lack the patience at the plate to put up big runs, but I am pretty damn good at working the corners and knowing how to work each hitter while i'm on the mound.

Yeah... This was with my rastein.  Booyah

Also had an 18 inning affair that I won in the bottom of the 18th.  Vince Coleman on 1st and 2 outs.  Lindeman towering fly ball to center, Mookie doinked it.  Vince was already pretty much standing on home.

Reds

I witnessed that game...quite impressive indeed.

23 ERRORS?

probably from getting an out at first then running off the bag and throwing toward the wall with no one on base.  Still counts as an error.  Lot's of people do it around here.

I do it too, I just wasn't sure that was the reason.  I actually started doing it with my friend as sort of intimidation.  The best is if you can throw it at the backstop with the catcher while making an out at the plate.  It's funny to see the catcher throw it over their head as it then hits the backstop.  Third base throw aways are cool too.

Briznock

rastein is definitely the most seasoned at the wall throw.  Liners to thrid with no one on or two outs...  He'll routinely get the wall throw off and chalk up an error.  23 errors is really nothing in a 19 inning game.  I know I've seen him push twenty in regulation before.  But I think after the 13th inning or so we were so into winning this beast of a pitchers duel that he kind of focused on the game instead of the game inside the game.

I beat rastein in a 12? inning Mike Witt complete game while on our trip to see Ryne Sandberg's induction to the HOF.  I was wearing only a hat.

Anyone else ever won a game with a pitcher that went 12 strong?  Versus an actual human opponent that was reasonably good?  Alan Trammell led of the game with a HR and I won in 12    2-1.  BOOYAH.
