This makes even less sense than trying to deny the Cunts/FU trade.  I didn't see any harm in that trade, nor did I see any need to let it pass through.

But if you're going to allow them to trade then the rest of the owners should have the same opportunity.

SHENANIGANS!

The ruling is final. An exception was allowed and the book is official closed on this matter.

This is not the Old Republic. Welcome to the theocratic Sith Order of the Galactic Empire. You don't know the power of the Dark Side!

Re-Peat

I don't care as much if you make autocratic decisions...  but they should at the very least fairly affect all owners the same way.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

ryno

Darky, I don't think you can allow the initial trade then say no more trades are allowed.

Just do the right thing --- allow trades up to a set trade deadline (say week 16 or so).

Trading is a very fun part of the league.

Nacho

Or just allow people to trade draft positions if they want.

Well, the main thing is that I want the draft to run smoothly. The last thing I need is for selection swapping during the draft. It's too much work. It may seem insignificant to you guys, but I put in a lot of hours running this league----putting the schedule together, running the games, recording them on youtube, scoring the games, recaps, stats etc.

No. I've already bent far enough and there comes a time when the commissioner has to put his foot down. If somebody really wants to swap that bad in the first two rounds like the Sally Cunts and Ultimate did, then I may allow it and a majority vote will authorize it. And it has to be done in the same manner---meaning only in the first two rounds.

Trading will be allowed from weeks 8-12. No exceptions.

Darky, you've lost your marbles.  No one is trying to trade during the draft, it hasn't even started yet.  Make the rule that no trade are allowed until week 8 and enforce it.  However, to say, no one else can trade draft positions is craziness.  Why exactly are those two allowed to trade their draft slots and the other teams are not?  Put your foot down but keep it consistent.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

I just did. Did you not understand my last post? I said I will allow swapping of draft positions (same manner as the Sally Cunts/Ultimate) if somebody really feels they want to do it for the first two rounds only---and this regards only selection pics---not players. I've stayed firm on my stance on trading players since the OP---weeks 8-12. Is Lent driving you mad? haha

Everybody needs to focus on Monday's draft and let's just move on please. Typical Nacho BS for starting this whole mess. And any other stupid suggestions about trades will be ignored. WEEKS 8-12.

This shit didn't happen when I ran Fantasy RBI Baseball.

Of course, seasons actually took the length of a real baseball season to finish, so there's that...

DID YOU GET MY PM?!?!

Yeah, I did. Your offer is being taken under consideration.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Trades during the draft make it more interesting, you don't even have to change your lisitng, just add (traded to XXX for pick xx) after the pick

The Raiders are a successful organization

Nacho

The Sally Cunts welcome all trade offers and look forward to over-riding Darky's attempts to veto.

Darky

I have compiled all the pitching stats together from all the seasons and ran it through my formula for ranking the pitchers. I now have a very strong idea on who the top and bottom tier SP's and RP's are. I have 4 tiers for the SP's and 3 tiers for the RP's.

I also upgraded and tweaked my player rankings from using the data from season V and combing that with seasons II-IV. Our advanced scouts have a very strong idea on what kind of numbers and performances we can reasonably expect from the players in a 22 game season. We know which players fits in with our juggernaut program and who doesn't.

The draft hasn't even started and the Galactic Empire already has the Look!

So Darky, you really aren't sharing the stats from seasons II-IV?  That's really lame...

I gave you the link already and all you had to do was download the stats from Fighton's rbi page that included the stats from seasons II-IV. Not very hard to do. This isn't charity man.
And I've seen that only three people downloaded the stats from season V in the Final Stats thread that I have up. This is why my program consistently wins, we put in the effort, we have advanced scouting reports, and a superior ranking system. Plus the players always play hard for me. Empire heads up ball!!!

Oh yeah, that link to fighton's rbi page only had the stats from seasons II-III. The stats from season IV can be found by using the search function. It's a little maze to run through, but it's there. I went through a lot of work digging those stats up, and there is not a chance I'm gonna just attach them so you guys can get a free shortcut.

In any case, I've now combined all the stats together from seasons II-V in a spreadsheet. Season I is unavailable and can't be found anywhere. And I'm not sharing my spreadsheet. I put in a lot of effort to put that together and that gives me the edge for the draft on Monday. However, you may buy it from me for 75 dollars. Supply and demand'D!!!1111

I'm not going to cry about this season, but it would be nice if at some point the compiled stats could be made public as league information.  Not that I expect anyone to give up their hard-earned personal work.  Maybe as the as a sort of "statute of limitations" runs out.

Many people have contributed to the community in different ways with information being released to the public and I would think more than just fantasy players would be interested in this information.

I'd compile it and make it public if only I knew how to merge excel files.  I'm pretty pathetic.

TBG, those stats will be released after the draft at some point during the season. I literally spent all week on finishing up season V and then combining those stats with seasons II-IV (season I stats can't be found). There is just no way I'm going to release that so other people can use it to their advantage for the upcoming draft since I am a participant in the league and put in literally painful hours to get that done---it just doesn't seem fair to do that since I put in so much effort. Anyone can do it for themselves. I know it would be nice for other people to see, but they are going to have to wait. It's not like the stock market is hinging on these stats lol....

Also, seasons II-III does not have the stats for homeruns given up by a pitcher, and season II did not include all the players since only 8 teams participated.

In any case, here are the stats from seasons II-IV.

You can't merge those excel sheets together since the formulas for the cells are not all uniform. You have to manually make your own spread sheet and tally up the stats from the other excel sheets/seasons. That is what I did. Have fun and good luck getting that done before Monday ;)

So Darky, you're saying that at some point during the season you will release a spreadsheet that has combined statistics for seasons 2-5?  That's awesome.  I can live with that.  Thanks for your hard work.
