Edit and correction made on the standings. Now it's right. Huge night tonight and the playoffs have begun...if you will.

Also, I fully intend to wrap up the regular season by Friday. So weeks 20-22 will take place this week and that is a George Zimmer guarantee.

Will the OC win the Gantry league? Or will the Ulrachers win it? Will the Sally Cunts pull of the improbable and win the league? What about the Pabst Blue Ribbons? Will they step up and sneak into the playoffs?  I'd say the OC will pull it out if their offense wakes up, but their pitching has let them down this year. The Ulrachers will win it if Gooden and Hurst can do their thing and if they get good offense. I'd wager on the Ulrachers.
I don't expect the Blue Ribbons to sneak in the playoffs.

Over in the Dove RBI league, it comes down to the Alliance and the Hammocks for the last playoff spot.
The Hammocks remaining games:
Sally Cunts*
Fighting Ulrachers*
Blue Ribbons*

The Alliance remaining games:
Fighting Artichokes
Blue Ribbons*
Sally Cunts*

Hard to call that one. If Morris and Cox can regain their form from the last two seasons, than the Alliance may pull it out. If the Hammocks score runs, they'll take it. The Hammocks can afford to be tied up with the Alliance at the end of the season since they won the season series.

I think the Poopydicks should win the first round of the playoffs, but I really don't see them beating the Empire. We are just better than they are...if I may be perfectly honest. But anything can happen and we've won a lot of tight games---so we are not as dominant as our record suggests. The Empire has great balance all around. I think we have the least outs on the basepaths and the least amount of double plays hit into. Those numbers add up and are significant according to my private data.

Yet another game where the Cunts outhit the opposition only to lose.  Fuck. Nice job pulling out Viola after 4 shoutout innings, too.

SPOILER WARNING

Wow! The Empire has guts and a strong will. We did it again. So we were down 1 run in the bottom of the 9th, and tied it up to go into extra innings. Then we were down 2 runs in the bottom of the 10th and down to our final out once again with nobody on. Next thing you know after a couple of hits---Buckner comes off the bench to deliver a 3-run WALK OFF SHOT!. Unbelievable. Seriously, the teams do become self-aware.

A team of destiny....and we got THE LOOK!!!!1111

I've never seen a double play like the one that ended the third inning in the SC game.

That is a first.  I've never seen that as well. And bear in mind that I have seen more games in watch mode than everybody else. 7-6-4...wow.

Easily the most un-clutch offense in the league.  Maybe the most un-clutch offense imaginable.

What did you expect with Kruk and Molitor in the 7-8 hole? They're killing down there. And Raines not having a big year as well. Throw in Mitchell in the mix. But yeah, un-clutch is a fair assessment. If you want to see clutch, look no further than the Empire's offense.

Raines has been an absolute abortion this year.

I do believe that win puts the cockholders into the post-season.

Nope. You and the Alliance are still tied in the standings, but you do hold the tiebreaker edge. A win combined with an Alliance loss in week 21 will seal the deal.

Buckner delivers heroic walk-off-shot in extra innings, Galactic Empire remain undefeated at home and win record 10th straight at home

Imperial Center (AP) - Down 15-13 and down to their last out, the Empire struck again in Empire like fashion to win a dramatic non league contest between two first place teams at a record selling Imperial Center on a drizzly day.

The Fighting Ulrachers staged a 9th inning comeback when they scored 6 runs to go up 13-12. However, the resilient Empire scored a run on Doran's 3rd double of the evening to send the game into extra innings.

In the top of the 10th, the Fighting Ulrachers scored 2 runs on a Mldndo rbi ground out and a solo shot by Whitkr. The game was now in the hands of RP Grelts with a 2-run lead at the hallowed grounds of the Imperial Center.

Grelts recorded 2 quick outs and the bench of the Ulrachers were on their feet---along with a roaring crowd of over 113,000 loyal and boisterous fans cheering their beloved Empire on for yet another improbable comeback win at home. The Force was with the defending champion Empire. With two outs, Madlck and Heath registered back-to-back singles---and the stage was set for pinch hitter B.Buckner.

Buckner wasted no time as he lined the first pitch he saw over the RF fence---and just like that, the game ended and the Empire's record streak of home wins was extended to 10. The win also marked the 6th time that the Empire won their home game in their final at-bat this year.

Despite the loss, the Fighting Ulrachers remain tied for first place with the OC, and hold the tiebreaker edge. The Empire remain undefeated at home and appear to be a team of destiny. The Empire have now been in first place in the Dove RBI league a record 41/42 weeks.

Asked about the victory and the record home winning streak, Darky replied " we scored more runs than they did, our program is built on winning and every player is part of the whole---nobody is above the Empire".

Fighting Ulrachers 11-9, (7-4)
Galactic Empire 15-5, (8-3)

Brenly hits clutch 2-run homerun in the 9th, Pabst Blue Ribbons playoff hopes alive and well

Sioux Falls (AP) - The Blue Ribbons won a pivotal game on the road when B.Brenly hit a 9th inning 2-run shot while Kerfld pitched a scoreless 9th as the Pabst Blue Ribbons beat the OC 20-19 and kept their playoff hopes alive by moving into a tie for the last playoff spot with the Sally Cunts since the Cunts lost their game to the Hammocks.

The Blue Ribbons jumped out to a 10-3 second inning lead as they jumped all over Alxndr for 14 runs. However, the OC Legions of Doom and their explosive offense matched that by scoring 13 runs off Bylvn after 4 innings.

In the bottom of the 8th and down 17-14, the OC scored 5 runs to take a 19-18 lead- Worrel came in the 9th inning to earn the save. However, with two outs, the Blue Ribbons responded when Hrbek lined a double down the RF line and the next batter Brenly, drilled a game winning homerun into the bleachers at Sioux Falls Stadium.
RP Kerfld pitched out of a jam as he pitched a scoreless inning to pick up the win and helped keep the Blue Ribbons in playoff position.

The Blue Ribbons, who are tied with the Sally Cunts for the final playoff spot in the Gantry League, will need to finish a game ahead of the Cunts in the standing since they lost the season series to the Cunts. They will face the Rebel Alliance at home in week 21.

The OC Legions of Doom remain tied for first place with the Ulrachers, but will need to finish a game ahead of the Ulrachers since they lost the season series to the Ulrachers. The division title is still wide open in the Gantry league and the Blue Ribbons still have an outside shot to take the title, but will need a lot of help since they lost the season series to the OC, the Ulrachers, and the Cunts as mentioned before.

Pabst Blue Ribbons 10-10, (8-4)
OC Legions of Doom 11-9, (6-6)

Banana Hammocks get superb pitching, pull away down the stretch

Minneapolis (AP) - In a pitchers duel at a cold and windy Fidel Reagan Freedom Gulag   Stadium, the visiting Banana Hammocks maintained their favorable playoff positioning as they outscored the Sally Cunts 9-0 in the final three innings and won 11-5.

Through the first four innings, the scoreboard read 0-0. Both Tudor and Viola shut down the hitters with their masterful changeups. In the 5th, SP were relieved and both teams scored 2 runs. The Sally Cunts then took a 5-2 lead after the 6th inning, and that would be the last time they scored and had the lead.

The Banana Hammocks scored 9 runs in the final 3 innings while their relief pitching blanked the anemic Sally Cunt offense. Stanly pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief and earned the save as he stuck to the pitching approach engineered by Turd who called for a pitching strategy of pitching backwards.

The Sally Cunts lost a crucial game as they failed to gain a game on the first place Fighting Ulrachers and OC, while dropping into a tie with the Pabst Blue Ribbons for the final playoff spot. The Cunts will travel to Fort Dodge to take on the Fighting Artichokes in week 21.

The Banana Hammocks have the edge for the final playoff spot in the Dove RBI division. They are tied with the Alliance in the standings, but hold the tiebreaker edge. The Hammocks will host the first place Gantry division Fighting Ulrachers in week 21.
