For Oakland, you had Moss on there twice...I'll have to look into that one...

Hi, I'm new (and I appologize if this is posted in the wrong place) but I've been following the progress of the ROM.  I've used your 30-Team editor (Thanks! Its incredible) to edit all the teams and using a combination of websites I have come up with my own version of the 2012 team line-ups.  I'm curious to compare the ROMs in the end. I could give you a copy of the ROM if you'd like.  However, my question to you is Have you changed the Florida Marlins to the Miami Marlins?  ...and... If all the teams are suppose to be in alphabetical order then Chicago (CC and CW) should come before Cincinnati. (By the way, Cincinnati is spelled wrong in your ROM [Cincinatti].)  I hope that helps :-)

I meant to put Rosales in there on the bench. Edited.

Fighton, thanks.

Beastie,Compare ratings or just lineups? I'll send my output when it's done.

Yes I've updated Miami. I've also corrected the misspelling and the team order. Part of me wants to reorder by league. Well see when I release the official dee-née version what I do.

Also as I said, this rom will have the grounder hack in it as well.

I'm also planning on a label/box art for 2013's preseason ROM. I have it designed, I just have to see how it prints.

beastietg

Cool!  We could compare both.  I'm currently making adjustments.

I am not familiar with the grounder hack.  I must have missed it...

The box art sounds cool.  Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Nightwulf's editor on RBIcentral allowed you to turn off the 10-run mercy rule.  Is there a way you could add on that feature?

The grounder hack makes it so you can give high avg guys (mauer) high power but it limits lift so they don't hit HR as much.

Mercy rule can probably find its way in.

We should think about combining efforts. I feel like my system is sound but I could use a second set of eyes.

beastietg

Nice.  I like that idea of the grounder hack.

I also like combining efforts.  I'm all for assisting in making this the best RBI ever!

I like to release a good officil rom each year. More help the better.

I'm in!  I've been playing RBI baseball since probably around 1990.  It was always a fun game to turn to for a quick game of baseball.  I even kept my own stats back in 2007.  But I had long forgotten about the game until about the end of July this year when I was able to put a Nintendo emulator on my Nintendo DS.  I had so much fun being able to play RBI portable.

One day I was curious and looked up RBI Baseball on Wikipedia and found a link to this website at the bottom.

I was overjoyed that this game has a cult following.

So... yes, I want in on some of this RBI Baseball ROM action!

I can't thank you enough for putting life back into this great NES baseball game (The best imo)

Turd

Agreed. I'm almost done with the lineups. Then I'll run it through my generator to get a base rom. Ill probably need help with the tweaking or double checking errors.

beastietg

Sounds good.  I can definitely "proofread" your work.  With pleasure.  :-D

Thanks temp, I've updated the Sox with your suggestions, as I haven't gotten to rating them yet.  Our lineups were not the same, and I had Dunn in the lineup.  This is why I rely on team experts instead :)

My Brewers are perhaps the easiest team in all of baseball to provide a lineup for, as it never changes...

Gantry

Adam Dunn is tailor made to be an RBI bench player, he'd be pretty deadly with the PH bonus.
