If I had to name all the players in RBI, Schiraldi would be one of the last guys I remembered.

Only team I nailed was Boston.  Interesting.

Realized I didn't even list the bench for Sf.  Added.

Missing Mike Witt was surprising

The Raiders are a successful organization

Metal King

Helluva try though.

It's funny, two of the most powerful hitters in the game (Reggie, Darrell Evans), were already in their 40's.

I still think McGwire should be in the 950's for power, just seems he hits everything further than anyone.

Reading your team synopsis (spelling)?  I know they're old, but saying Mike Schmidt is the worst player on the stellar NL all-stars, I have to disagree.  Worse than Sandberg?  Santiago?  Gwynn?  Kruk?  GALARRAGA?  PEDRIQUE?!?!?!?!

Surprised Schmitty doesn't have 900 power........

Gantry

Yeah Sperling is crazy there.

Metal King

Well here's the list of overall average of teams' total power, speed, and contact best to worst:

Best average power:
1.Tigers - 849.25

3.Red Sox - 840.75
4.American- 825.50
5.National- 825.00

7.Twins - 817.50
8.Mets - 799.75
9.Cardinals- 793.00
10.Astros - 785.00

Only three teams have over 10,000 total points in Power:

Detroit - 10,191
California- 10,176
Boston - 10,089

Best average Speed:
1.Astros - 133.5
2.National- 133.3
3.Cardinals- 131.3
4.Angels - 128.2
5.Mets - 128.0

I feel a little better inside knowing I always play as St. Louis and beat the shit outta my friends. Gwynn and Guerrero for NL, Julio Franco for AL, Nolan Ryan for Houston, Steve Lake and Morris for St. Louis. (I'm slightly cheating-I looked at the rosters earlier this week, but not bad for someone who wasn't alive when the game came out )

Nice job with these, quite interesting.  Confirms our Boston/Cali/Detroit trifecta in straight pitch.  Be less lazy for me and rank them all for "total power minus total contact" if you can.

Welcome to the forums KJ!

KJWalters

I'm glad I found this, and honored to be apart of it. You guys helped make this game even better-can't thank you enough =]

Spread the word my friend, spread the word

Metal King

Damn, i'm sorta lazy when it comes to this stuff....we'll see.  It won't be forever if I do do it.

Haha I said doo doo........

Metal King

Here's a question.......

Name the 4 years in which Bill Madlock won the batting title.

Something I noticed, kind of odd.  Madlock hit .300 or better in 9 seasons, career average of .305.  Mickey Mantle hit .300 or better TEN times, but had a career .298 average.

But Mickey was the much MUCH better player!!!

fathedX

I know he won in 1976 with a .339 average because he beat Griffey Sr. who batted .336.

Metal King

Yeah that's one.  I didn't mention you're allowed to look up the answers.

Gantry

Did he win any in the 80s?  I would say no, but what the fuck do I know?  Oh wait, EVERYTHING

Metal King

Yeah, twice in the 80's, and twice in the 70's.  And two of them were back-to-back.  The other two were two years apart.
