Mentioned on AG, but deserves it's own thread here.

How many total RBI deaths is that now?  Will do a front page update.

Reds

I believe that makes 143 dead RBI players.

Jesus Fucking Christ. Taking rest of day off.

Had a 2 homer game with him this weekend. He and Schmidt were my favorite players growing up. Fucking tobacco.

Awful.  I hate cancer.  Tony was always one of my favorites.  He started out right around the time when I was all baseball, all the time as a kid.

Some of you might not know this but he is the dad of Tony Gwynn Jr.

This has been changed recently to a statement about it being changed.

This is a great short Gwynn legacy video by ESPN:

BeefMaster

Unbelievable stat: Tony Gwynn hit .302 with two strikes for his career. No one else in baseball history is above .265.

Here I thought it was a coincidence.

Keith Olbermann's eulogy for Gwynn on his show last night was terrific:

Not surprisingly Olbermann managed to make a eulogy about Tony Gwynn, about Keith Olbermann.

No way that's true, but if it is that's fucking amazing.
