Hey Darky - Ryan had great stats according to the spreadsheet you sent me.  Did you bamboozle me?

He had a good year up until that point of the season for FRBI VI. The stats you looked at was for 38 innings. Nolan Ryan pitched for the Fighting Artichokes under TBT. The Fighting Artichokes finished last that year. You could have asked me for stats from the other seasons or you could have asked TBG since I believe he has access to those stats from all the seasons. I don't have the complete stats for season VI for the reason I told you. I may go back and finish that up at some point.

The other seasons he tanked it real bad, so 38 innings of a 12.7 didn't take him out of the basement. Should have done your homework sonny.

Nacho

Ryan was already pretty old by the time RBI came out, so he probably didn't have the stamina to finish that season very strong.

Darky

Nacho did his homework with RP's. Good call Nacho on Grelts - he's #2 all time in ERA for relief pitchers.

So does nomaaa continue to be skipped until he drops in again?

That's usually how it works, though sometimes someone will wait a bit to give whoever has been skipped the chance to catch up.

I texted nomaaa this morning to let him know he's up.

fightonusc

Yes, nomaaa is skipped until he makes his pick.

Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

Darky just picked one of the most shellable pitchers in the game.  Turn out the lights - the party's over.

And then Reds took Wally Backman. Oof.

Robnsn is ranked #3 all time in ERA, right behind somebody else. And he is third all time in hits per inning pitched. So I got arguably the best RP staff! If Nacho chooses wisely, he won't be too far behind me for the top RP staff. Shooty got the 11th ranked RP in ERA according to the all time stats.

Relief pitchers carry a lot of value if the game goes a full nine. We are talking a difference of between 3-8 runs in the last two innings.

With the +64 boost, that's gonna be a lot of power for Shooty coming off the bench. I'm too much of a pitching guy, so I passed on him although I was close. I forgot to mention that bench production can make up for shitty RP's with HR's or base hits that prolong innings and lead to more runs. In the end, quality RP still comes out ahead by a little and I'll take that small margin of victory.

Huh?

Apparently I have Willie Hernandez coming into to pinch hit.

Darky

Darky dumb. Assumed K.Hrndz and not the RP W.Hrndz - forgot team TBG had him and forgot to cross him off from my board. In any case, a good pick by Shooty. W.Hrndz is ranked 8th in career ERA.
