Fuck, the Pinkmen were lucky as shit to survive that game. Took forever to get the bats going. New acquisition Burks shits the bed in key early situations, and top pick Bell hits into TWO double plays in his first two at bats and then ends an inning on the bases after reaching on an error in his third at-bat. Luckily the bottom of the order produced, including some major production from another new acquisition, DiCinces.

Made it interesting at the end but Pinks were in control. You fucker.

Anyways and moving on. For the Friday Night Fantasy game, we'll need to limit Backmn and Tudor/Fernando Mania to one hit, two the most for us to tip the odds in our favor. If Backmn and the pitchers get more than 2 hits, it'll be tough for us to overcome from what our advanced scouts reported. I'm looking forward to see how new acquisition Brett performs. I know he'll deliver in the clutch, but he's not a huge night kind of guy. Leo will deliver all season and The Empire is more than delighted to have him back.

And Pena regaining his starting job will give The Empire a more established identity. He had time to reflect after his benching and he has come back more focused and hungry! And we'll see if my hunch about Hurst pays off - advanced scouting told us that Sutton gave up bigger innings to the Seymour Chilis. Anyways, we'll find out soon enough in this "Any Given Sunday" type of league.
