That Kevin Elster would be a prime RBI legend with those credentials.  Didn't some team just sign him?

I think the yankees brought him into camp.  I doubt he'll make the team though.  another thing about the mets.  I think it was 87 or 88, in spring training, two RBI legends, Strawberry and I'm Keith Hernandez got in a big fight while taking the TEAM PICTURE!!! It was hilarious.  Way too many drugs going around that clubhouse.

I saw on ESPN yesterday that Timmy Rock Raines was signed to a minor league contract by some team.  If he is half as good as he is on RBI, he has a chance.

In other RBI news, Joe just informed me that Kirby Puckett's wife filed for a divorce.  Apparently, he threatened to kill her.  He must still be pissed that the creators of RBI made him nowhere near as good as he should be.

Yeah, he has one really screwed up eye....  I think we should defintiely have a "Wife Beaters" section on the Where are they now page.  If you guys know of at least 3 wife-beaters, then we'll add to the page...

I'm pretty sure Canseco fits in that category, didnt' he ram his car into his wife's car years ago.

My favorite Canseco moment was when he was playing right field in one game.  The ball was hit to him and it bounced off his head and over the wall for a homerun.  That might have been the funniest thing i've ever seen.  The ultimate bop in history.

That was pretty funny, and Sportscenter showed it every day for a month or something like that...

The guy could hit (and run when he was younger), but he was a terrible fielder...

I know that Wade Boggs used to beat his wife, so there's one more wife-beater.

i dont know about any wife beaters but what about caddies... the only job ray knight can find is carrying around his old lady's sticks.

Does Ray Knight still do ESPN?

And we might have to change his nickname from MVP (as in world series mvp).  As Potsie recently discovered, RBI'ers won four straight World Series MVPs

'84 - AT
'85 - Saberhagen
'86 - Ray Knight
'87 - Viola

The Caddy might work...

Gwynn3k

no i think he got fired from espn...

as far as the four straight mvp's... goes to show when rbi was at its prime and gibson should have won in 88 cause his dinger in the bottom of the ninth crushed eckersly and the a's.

i would have to rank the caddy up there as the fattest of all rbi players   right up there with reuschel and robinson of the giants.

i have another nickname... for bobby ojeda... the skipper   dating back to his voyage on the lake in which his buddies steve olin and tim cruse were killed when their ski boat hit the dock.  a reminder that boating and booze do not mix either.

I was watching a friends high school baseball game today in AZ, after the game he said, "did you see Bob Brenly, he was sitting right behind you". I had no idea that an RBI hero was sitting right behind me.

You always have to be on the lookout for RBI Legends, they could be anywhere....

The skipper is a bit harsh, but I like it!

Sometimes it's good to respect the dead, but if we can make fun of Donnie Moore's death the only proper thing to do is make fun of all death involving RBI players....

And the nickname has been changed, we never used ocelot anyway - I think I came up with it while I was writing the mets page...
