thats why everyone was so shocked...  moon was a character guy, big in the community and so forth.    i still wouldnt put him in the category with chicken boy.

its so weird to think that moon and kirby took it to women...i mean boggs i can understand, what the hell else does he have to do?...he has to compensate for being worthless at the plate (just ask t)....but warren moon played football until he was 55 and kirby could own the state of minnesota if he wanted it....but i guess not being able to see and not being doug williams finally got to the twin city heroes

has there been a bigger one shot wonder than doug williams... i guess if you include the running back for that redskins team(timmy smith)  you'd have a flash in the pan combo that disappeared faster than a fart in the wind.

as far as i am concerned,  moon was a more successful qb than doug williams...  however, his off the field actions ruined his chances of becoming a broadcaster.

If Marv Albert can keep a job after his forays into "forced sodomy"" there's hope for Warren...

Gwynn3k

the difference is that marv works in new york, a place where freakshows run rampant...  moon, on the other hand, was trying to lock up a job in the midwest where gossip about freaks runs rampant.

marv albert getting his job back is hillarious...i just picture him tying up bill walton and screaming "yesssssss!" over and over again....im still waiting for nbc to trot oj back in...they could get quite a crew there....
baseball : pete rose, kirby puckett, hitler
football-- warren moon, oj, jim brown and dexter manley
basketball: marv albert, roy tarpley, hitler

hey bban,

i might be a tad out of it but who are you referring to as "hitler"    cause i  dont see the furer making a comeback anytime soon.

i used the "master of the mein kampf" for a few reasons:

1) a bit of comic relief
2) i couldnt really think of any other glaring basketball assholes
3) i heard that mr hitler had a mean jumpshot and played some of the best defense this side of the DMZ

just want to say that i love espn classic.  i am watching the 85 world series between the royals and the cards...  great opportunity to watch one of the most impotent rbi teams in their prime.    jack clark is still their only chance of hitting a homerun and willie mcgee was then and still is fugly!

give props to old fart and RBI LEGEND,  Jesse Orozco who retired the braves in the bottom of the 16th inning to record a save...  i dont know how long it has been since he nailed down his last one but 45 year old dudes should not be pitching in the major leagues let alone securing victories...

old people rule!

got an update for the WATN page...

watching the mariner-blue jay game on espn...  color commentator is none other than chili davis... good to see another legend in the booth...  gwynn has the boston-oakland game and i must say he is doing a great job... not that i am biased.

Gwynn's voice can be quite irritating, he needs to lay off the helium.

Chili has been added to the Where Are they Now page, as well as Strawberry under the new incarcerated category......

Would like too add a wife beater category, who do we have outside Puckett & Boggs again?

You can count Donnie Moore, he's a wife killer.

I've been hearing negative comments about Pena on St. Louis.  As a self-titled veteran of RBI, I disagree!  Pena has some legitimate power.  He is one of the few bats on the Cardinals that can hit the ball deep.  At least one homer a game, and a lot of the time 2.  Lindeman comes in for Ford though, he's as worthless as a rope dick dog.  Also, you can't forget about John Morris.  This guy can bring you back in the game in the late innings so Dayley can close the door.

I must admit that I am a Pena-bigot, but Potsie swears by jalapena.  We played on Wednesday and Pena went deep for him, so it's probably a case of me not giving him a chance.  Any power with STL is a good thing and deserves to stay in...
