Maybe because I am a dick?  Not sure.

Anyway, as things stand right now, you guys could definitely meet again in the play-offs.

Week 16

Attezz vs Shooty
Game 1; was all Shooty in an 11-1 (2 inning) affair.  Sexson was 2-2 (HR), and Womack was 2-2 (2 triples), walk-off RBI.  For Attezz, Cobb, Samuel, Yount, Lobert, Chance, & Stahl combined 0-6 in the loss.
Game 2; Edmonds and Justice both had grand slams in the 4-inning smashing of Attezz (30-7)
Series MVP goes to Parrish; 6-7, HR, 3 2Bs, 4 RBIs.
LVP goes to both Samuel and Lobert; both 0-3, 0 RBIs in series loss.
Don't blame ... Ruth; 3-3 (3 RBIs).

McLane vs Nacho
Game 1; McLane scored 11 in the first inning.  Nacho responded nicely with 8 in the bottom half.  McLane scored 10 more in the 2nd inning, but this time Nacho could only get 3 runs--game over.  For McLane, Mantle had a perfect game; 3-3 (3HRs, 5 RBIs).  Colvalito was 3-3 (2HRs, double, 7 RBIs).  Frank Thomas was 3-3 (HR).
Game 2; Nacho would have a 7-4 lead going into the bottom of the 2nd inning.  McLane would go crazy and score the 14 runs needed to end the game w/o even recording an out.  Mantle had another great game 3-3, 2HRs (walk-off), 3 RBIs.  Frank Thomas was 3-3 (HR, 2 doubles, 5 RBIs).  Alomar was 3-3 (single short of the cycle).
McLane (as a team) batted an impressive .780 in the series sweep.
Series MVP goes to Mickey Mantle; 6-6 (5HRs, 8 RBIs).  Frank Thomas batted 1.000 in as many Abs with 2HRs & 2 doubles.  Alomar batted 1.000 in 6 ABs (HR, triple, 3 doubles).
LVP goes to Wagner; 0-3 (0 RBIs).
Don't blame... Maris; 3-3 (HR, 4 RBIs).  DiMaggio also batted 1.000 (HR, 3 RBIs).

Nomaaa vs Gantry
Game 1; Didn't bring a lot of offense.  Nomaaa only scored 14 runs in 7 innings.  Gantry was able to outdue that with 25 runs.  Ted Williams had a GS.  Dunn & Matthews each had 2HRs.
Game 2; Nomaaa's offense wasn't much better than in game 1, and Gantry took early advantage, scoring 12 runs in the top of the 2nd.  That would be enough.  Dunn was 3-3 (2HRs, 5 RBIs).  Ted Williams/Matthews combined 6-6 (HR each).
4 straight wins for Gantry gets him back to .500 on the season.
Series MVP goes to Dunn; 7-9 (4HRs, 9 RBIs) in series sweep.
LVP goes to Fisk; 1-6 in series loss.
Don't blame.... Sheffield; 4-7 (2HRs, 6 RBIs).

Ultimate vs Weathermatt
Game 1; Both teams hit the ball well early on, but Ultimate faded after the 6th inning.  Weathermatt finally ends it in the bottom of the 8th off of a Big Mac double.  Juan Gonzalez had 3HRs (GS), Joe Carter had 4 doubles, and Batista was 6-7 (2HRs, 11 RBIs).  For Ultimate, Soriano had 3HRs & a triple in the losing effort.
Game 2; Went down to the wire, but a late GS from McCovey (2HRs) put Ultimate far enough ahead, they would not need to bat in the bottom of the 9th.  Soriano/Strawberry had 2HRs each.  Hundley was 6-7 (3HRs).  Batista had 3HRs (8 RBIs) in the loss.
Series MVP goes to Batista; 12-15 (5HRs, 18 RBIs).  Soriano and Hundley each had 5 HRs j& 14 RBIs for Weathermatt.
LVP goes to Javy Lopez; 5-15, 0 HRs in series split.  Reggie Sanders also did not impress form the leadoff spot; batting only .412 in the series.

Fighton vs Stock
Game 1; Fighton was rather cold, scoring only 6 runs in 3 innings.  Pujols didn't help much, going 0-2 (GIDP).  For Stock, Mo Vaughn capped off the 10-run 3rd inning with a walk-off HR.  Helton had 2 3-run HRs in the game.  Ott/Griffey combined 6-6 (HR each).
Game 2; was tight early on and was tied at 15 after 5 innings.  However, then Fighton went cold and would only add 6 more runs in the next 3 innings.  Stock would grow a 32-21 lead going into the bottom of the 9th.  Fighton could only add 3 more runs.  Griffey was 7-8 (5HRs) in the win.
Series MVP goes to Griffey; 10-11 (6HRs, 7 RBIs) in the series sweep.  Despite batting only .636, Mo Vaughn had 5HRs and 11 RBIs.
LVP goes to Berra; batted only .333 from the clean-up spot.
Don't blame...Wilson; 7-7 in the series loss.

GDavis vs Beefmaster
Game 1; was all over after a 13-run bottom of the first inning from Beefmaster.  Ironically, Bonds had 0 RBIs in the game.  Stuart and Stevenson (HR) each had a 3-RBI game.
Game 2; the best offense in the land did not dissappoint.  Beefmaster killed Gdavis with consistency.  Their #9 batter came to the plate in all six innings.  Beefmaster ended it by putting up 17 runs in the 6th.  Bonds was 8-8 (4HRs).  Campanela was 7-7 (HR).  Allen had 4HRs & Zernial had 3 HRs.  Delgado was 5-5 (3HRs) for GDavis, but was not enough.
Series MVP goes to Allen; 9-10 (5HRs, 7 RBIs).  Bonds also had a nice series; 9-10 (4HRs, 7 RBIs).  Despite batting a measley .750, Zernial had 9 RBIs.  Campanella batted 1.000 (HR).
LVP goes to Petrocelli; 1-5 (0 RBIs) in series loss.
Don't blame... Carlos Delgado; 6-6 (4HRs, 8 RBIs) in series loss.

AlecTrevylan vs Rack
Game 1; AlecT comes out the gates scoring 14 runs in the top of the 1st (Glaus = GS). Rack could only respond with 2 solo HRs from Belle & Foxx.... Game over.
Game 2; was more of the same from AlecT, who has turned it on big time as of late (but too little too late).  AlecT ends the second straight game in the 1st inning by putting up 15 runs (Ichiro walk-off HR).  Glaus/Burks/Gehrig/Ordonez also had a HR in this 1-inning affair.  AlecT has scored 29 runs in 2 innings (without even recording 6 outs).  Rack loses his 7th game in a row and drops into 3rd place....yuck!
AlecTrevylan bats .853 in the 2-inning series, while Rack bats only .538 (molitor does not even get an AB in the series).
Series MVP goes to Troy Glaus; 4-4 (2HRs (GS), 2 doubles, 6 RBIs).
LVP goes to Chipper Jones; 0-2 (0 RBIs).
Don't blame .... Foxx; 2-2 (HR) in series loss.

BigHath vs Ryno
Game 1; was close down to the wire.  BigHath was consistent scoring at least a run in all of the first 8 innings.  Ryno stayed close with 2 big innings; scoring 9 runs in the 6th & 8th.  BigHath finally gets blanked in the top of the 9th inning, and would need to nurse a 1 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th.  Palmiero would tie it with a solo HR the 1st pitch of the inning, and Schmidt would end it with a solo HR off the 2nd pitch of the inning.  Eric Davis was 6-6 (3HRs, 2 doubles, 6 RBIs). Furcall went 0-6 for BigHath.
Game 2; BigHath would follow Ryno's 5-run first innning with an 11-run bottom half.  Ryno would come right back with 10 runs in the top of the 2nd.  BigHath takes a 1-run lead with a 5-run bottom half.  Ryno would outscore BigHath 8-0 in the 3rd inning, led by a Schmidt GS.  Ryno would complete the sweep in the 4th inning.  Palmiero was 5-5 (2HRs, 7 RBIs).
Series MVP goes to Eric Davis; 11-11 (4HRs, 4 2Bs, 11 RBIs).  Palmiero & Schmidt each had 10 RBIs on 10 hits and 4 HRs).
LVP goes to Furcall; 2-9 in series loss.
Don't blame....Thome; 9-11 in series loss.  Buhner and Killebrew each had 10 RBIs on a combined 7HRs, despite a much lower BA than Thome.

Some team notes going into the last 2 weeks of the season (6 divisional games).

Ruth Division

Attezz is out of it (has been for a long time now).  McLane is in 1st place, but the top 3 teams controll their own destiny as Ultimate and Nomaaa each get a 3-game series against McLane and Attezz.

Pujols Divsion

AlecTrevylan is out of it despite winning 6 of the last 9 games.
BigHath is in 1st place with 23 wins (1 more than Fighton).  As long as both don't fall apart, a wild card winner should come from this division.  GDavis could still win it with a 3 game series against BigHath, and a season ending series against last place AlecTrevylan.

Bonds Division

Stock has gone crazy, winning 11 of the last 12 games, and now has a 1 game lead over Beefmaster.  Rack has fallen apart (losing 7 in a row) and is now in 3rd place.  After being in first place for the majority of the season he will have to be on fire in the remaining 6 games just to get into the playoffs.  Stock & Beefmaster will end the season with a 3 game series against eachother which will likely decide a playoff birth.  Ryno is mathematically, but has a chance to spoil Rack's chance at a playoff birth with a 3 game series to end the season.  Remember, Rack had that big trade (Foxx/Molitor for Palmiero/Will Clark) with Ryno.

ARod Division

This division could not be any closer (or weak).  Only 1 game separates 1st place from 4th place.  No team really has an advantage here, but only 1 team from this division will make the playoffs.  Weathermatt & Gantry are only at .500 and both have a real chance at winning the division.  Gantry will end the season with a 3 game series against Weathermatt, and Nacho against Shooty.

Mr. Blubbo

This league is a sham.  Rack loses 7 in a row.  Stock, the person playing the games, wins 11/12  and Beef hasn't lost a series...in forever.

I quit.
Here's your ball!

Nacho

I've been out in front all season.  Hopefully my team comes through.

Week 17

Nomaaa vs Attezz
Game 1; Attezz jumps out to a 3-7 lead after 2 innings, led by a Ruth GS.  Nomaaa responds with a 9-run top of the 3rd.  Attezz would put up a 14-run bottom of the 4th to take a 6 run lead. Nomaaa would put up an incredible 17 runs in the top of the 7th inning, led by 2 3-run HRs from Ramirez.  Attezz would not stay alive this time.  Ramirez was 8-8 (3HRs, 8 RBIs).  Sheffield/McGriff had 3HRs each.  In the losing effort, Babe Ruth was 6-7 (3HRs, 3 doubles, 12 RBIs, last out of game).
Game 2; Nomaaa is lucky he was playing Attezz, since not many other teams could you only score 13 runs thu 7 innings, and still not be down (tie game).  However, the dead offense would catch up with him in the 8th inning as Attezz puts up 11 runs and ends it with an exciting walk-off sac fly from Coleman.  Cobb was 7-7 (HR, 2 triples, 7 RBIs) in the win.  Konerko had 2HRs.  Ramirez and Boone each had a pair of HRs in the losing effort.
Game 3; Didn't have a lot of action, but Nomaaa kept extending the lead bit by bit to finally end it in the 6th.  Sheffield, Beltran, & Fisk had 2HRs each in the win.  McGriff was 6-6 (2 doubles).  Crawford hit for the cycle in his first 4 ABs of the game.
Series MVP goes to Fred McGriff; 16-19 (4HRs, 4 doubles, 12 RBIs).  Despite a lower BA, Sheffield & Ramirez had 15 RBIs on 5HRs (each).
LVP goes to Chance; batted only .375 (0HRs, 1 RBI) in 3 games.
Don't blame... Babe Ruth; 14-18, 5HRs (GS),  6 doubles, 21 RBIs in the series loss.

Ultimate vs McLane
Game 1; Ultimate laid an egg in the first inning, and McLane took no time to put 10 runs on the board in the bottom half.  Ortiz was 2-2 (HR, Double, 2 RBIs).
Game 2; was quite a turn-a-round for Ultimate.  A 6-run first inning was good, but his 17-run 3rd inning was even better.  Ultimate had a 24-7 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd, and Mclane could only put 6 more runs on the board.  For Ultimate, Strawberry hit for the cycle in 4 ABs.  McCovey, Stargle, and Banks had 2HRs each.  David Ortiz was 3-3 (3HRs) in the losing effort, while Mantle extended his hit streak to 18 ABs, going 3-3 (HR).
Game 3; McLane was just cold again, scoring only 5 runs in 3 innings.  Ultimate consistently put up good innings, 4, 5, & 8 runs.  Strawberry was 3-3 (2HRs).  In the loss, Mantle extended his hit streak to 20 ABs, going 2-2 (HR).
Series MVP goes to; Strawberry; 7-8 (3HRs, double, triple, 10 RBIs) in the series win.
LVP goes to Frank Thomas; only 4-7 (0HRs, 1 RBI) from the 3-spot in the lineup.  You expect a lot more from him.
Don't blame... David Ortiz; 7-7 (5HRs, 6 RBIs) in the losing effort.  Mantle also batted 1.000 (7-7, 2HRs).

AlecTrevylan vs Fighton
Game 1; not team could really take a big lead.  AlecT put up 15 runs in the 4th, but the game was still tied at 25 after 6 innings.  Fighton would take a small 28-25 lead after 8 innings.  AlecT was only able to tie it in the top of the ninth, but Fighton chokes and cannot come up with a single run.  Extra innings..... AlecT puts an honest 4 runs on the board in the top of the 10th.  However, Fighton puts up 5 runs; led by a Kent 2-run double.  Wilson & Brett (8 & 9 batters) led the team with 2HRs each in the win.
Game 2; Another relatively low scoring game that would go the distance.  However, Fighton would not need to bat in the 9th inning.  Hack Wilson carried Fighton; 6-6 (2HRs) from the 8-spot in the line-up.  Lou Gehrig was 7-7 (4HRs, 8 RBIs) in the losing effort.
Game 3; Almost identical to game 2 (a relatively low scoring game going the distance).  Fighton would not need to bat in the 9th inning.  For AlecT, Robinson and Rollins combined just 2-13 (2 RBIs).  Also, Mays had a chance to keep a big rally going in the top of the 8th inning, but instead GIDP to end the inning with the bases loaded.  O'Doul was the hero of game 3; 7-7 (2HRs, 6 RBIs).  Berra, Howard, & Wilson also had 2HRs each.  Fighton got the sweep, but it was by no means impressive.  In fact, the offense seemed fairly weak and inconsistent coming from the team with the best record in the league.  Fighton will have 1 more week to get their shit together before the playoffs start.
Series MVP goes to Hack Wilson; 16-21 (6HRs, 4 doubles, 19 RBIs) in the series sweep.  O'Doul batted .810 (4HRs, 11 RBIs).
LVP goes to Rollins; 5-19 (0HRs) in series loss.
Don't blame... Lou Gehrig; 19-23 (8HRs) 21 RBIs in the losing effort.

BigHath vs GDavis
Game 1; GDavis started out hot, led by a Fielder GS.  However, BigHath outscored Gdavis 17-0 in the 4th inning to avoid the slaughter rule.  Hath then outscored Gdavis 15-5 in the 5th inning to win by slaughter rule himself.  Killebrew had a GS for BigHath.  Thome had 3HRs, and Burkman was 7-7 (2HRs) in the win.  Hank Aaron and Cecil Fielder combined 10-10 (3HRs, 11 RBIs) in the losing effort for GDavis.
Game 2; Gdavis would get his revenge with an early flurry of 11 runs in the 2nd inning.  Delgado was 3-3 (2HRs, 5 RBIs).  Aaron, Fielder, Horner combined 7-7.
Game 3; BigHath comes out the gate scoring 10 runs in the 1st.  Gdavis responds with half as many in the bottom half to stay alive.  BigHath would score 6 more in the 2nd inning.  In the bottom half with 1 run already on the board, Posada comes to the plate with the bases loaded.  GIDP to end the inning and the game.  Bobby Bonds, Thome, Buhner, & Dickey combined 10-10 (HR each) in the two inning game.
Series MVP goes to Burkman; 11-12 (3HRs, 4 doubles, 13 RBIs).
LVP goes to Posada; 3-8 (0HRs, GIDP, 1 RBI) in series loss.
Don't blame... Fielder; 9-9 (2HRs, 8 RBIs).  Aaron was 9-10 (3HRs).

(cont'd)

Ryno vs Beefmaster
Game 1; as with most Beefmaster games, was very high scoring.  Ryno was hitting out of his element and actually had a 3 run lead going into the top of the 8th.  Ryno would put up 12 runs in the top of the 8th to take a large lead.  However, Beefmaster would score 18 runs in the bottom half (led by GSs from Frank Robinson and Hornsby).  Ryno, blew his wad in the 8th and was blanked got blanked in the 9th.  Hornsby, Allen, Bonds, Campanela, & Zernial had 3HR games for Beef.  Eric Davis, Sandberg, & Schmidt had 3HRs each in the losing effort.
Game 2; Ryno is held scoreless in the 1st inning, but then puts up 17 runs in the top of the 2nd (led by a Will Clark GS).  Beefmaster only scores 6 runs in the first 2 innings despite HRs from Bonds in both his ABs.
Game 3; Ryno continued to put up great offensive numbers.  Sandberg was 4-6 (3HRs, triple, 8 RBIs).  Palmiero & Dawson had 2HRs each.  Gary Carter had a GS.  However, Beefmaster would not fall asleep in this game.   They would keep pace in Ryno's big innings and capitilize on the weak ones.  Chad Allen had a huge game; 7-7 (4HRs, 10 RBIs).  Bonds had 3HRs.  Stuart, Conigliaro, and Stephens had 2HRs each in the 6 inning victory.
Series MVP goes to Barry Bonds; 15-18 (8HRs, 3 doubles, 12 RBIs).  Chad Allen led the series in RBIs (17) with 6HRs.
LVP?  Although, nobody had a terrible series for Ryno, Ripken was last in BA, HRs, & RBIs; .563 - 1- 5.
Don't blame... Sandberg; 12-17 (7HRs, triple, 17 RBIs).

Stock vs Rack
Game 1; was close thru 3 innings.  However, then Rack put up 11 runs in the bottom of the 4th where Jeter ended the game with a 2-RBI double with only 1 out.  Foxx, Kiner, & Bagwell combined 11-12 (2HRs each).  Griffey had 2HRs for Stock in the losing effort.
Game 2; Rack would end the game again with an 11 run inning (this time the bottom of the 5th).  IRod was 5-5 (2HRs).  Kiner, Chipper Jones, and Klein also had 2HRs each.  For Stock, Helton was 4-4 (3HRs, 6 RBIs) in the losing effort.
Game 3; Rack defeats stock with consistancy.  Chipper Jones gets the walk-off HR to end it in the 5th inning.  Belle was 5-5 (2HRs).  Rickey Henderson wsa 3-3 (HR) in the losing effort.
Series MVP goes to Ivan Rodriguez; 11-13 (3HRs, 3 doubles, triple, 7 RBIs).  Kiner led with 5HRs.  Foxx led with 13 RBIs (of 4HRs).
LVP goes to Joe Morgan; 3-10 in series loss.
Don't blame... Todd Helton; 9-11 (4HRs, 2 doubles, 10 RBIs) in series loss.

Weathermatt vs Nacho
Game 1; Gonzalez hit a GS in the 1st inning for Weathermatt.  Biggio hit a GS in the 2nd inning for Nacho, and the score was 7-11 after 2.  Weathermatt puts up 9 runs in the 3rd, and Nacho ties it up in the bottom half at 16.  Nacho would put up 0 runs in the 6-8th innings, and Weathermatt would take a 30-24 lead into the 9th.  1 run a piece in the 9th inning and Nacho goes down in game 1.  Gonzalez, Lopez, & Batista had 2HR games.
Game 2; Nacho jumps out to a 2-10 lead in the 1st inning, led by a DiMaggio GS.  Nacho would go relatively cold over the next 4 innings, and his lead would be reduced to 1 run after 5.  However, then Weathematt would go cold, and Nacho would extend the lead every inning out.  Finally ends it in 8th with a Vlad walk-off HR.
Game 3; Weathermatt batted around in the first two innings, while Nacho could only come up with 3 runs.  McGwire, Kingman, Lopez, & Batista each had a HR in the 2-inning game.
Series MVP goes to Javy Lopez with 5HRs and 11 RBIs.
LVP goes to Collins; only 3-11 (0HRs) in the series loss.
Don't blame... Guererro; 10-14 (4HRs, 6 RBIs).

Shooty vs Gantry
Game 1; Shooty found his team down by 1 run after 6 innings.  However, (led by an Edmonds' GS) put up 15 runs in the top of the 7th.  York helps Gantry (barely) hang in the game with a 5 run bottom half of the inning.  Shooty keeps the pedal to the medal, and ends it 1 inning later 44-32.  Sexson was 7-9 (3HRs (GS), 10 RBIs).  Sosa & Matt Williams had 2HRs each.
Game 2; Gantry was much more consistent, and didn't put up any doughnuts for Shooty to take advantage of.  Gantry's line by inning; 7-3-4-7-4-8.  Besides a 3rd inning grandslam by Sexson (second game in a row) and a 3HR game from Greensberg, the rest of the team was very cold, and falls in 6 innings.  For Gantry, Giambi was 6-6, 2HRs (GS), 10 RBIs.  Matthews was 6-6 (HR).  Jackson was 6-7 (2HRs, walkoff 2 RBI single).
Game 3; Gantry jumps out to a 5-8 lead after 1 inning, led by a 3-run HR from DeShields (1st HR of season).  Shooty fires back with a 12-run top of the 2nd (led by a Sosa GS).  Then Shooty puts up 11 more runs in the 3rd inning.  However, Gantry responds with an insane 22 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and takes a 28-33 lead.  Both teams fell flat, putting up 0 runs in the 4th.  Gantry outscores Shooty 6-12 in the 5th inning, capped by a walk-off 3-run HR from HoJo.  Giambi was 7-7 (3HRs, 6 RBIs).  Dunn/Matthews/York each had 2HRs in the win.  For Shooty, Sosa was 6-6 (GS).  Edomonds/Parish combined 12-12 (HR each) in the losing effort.
Series MVP goes to Giambi; 17-20, 6HRs (GS), 2 2Bs, 20 RBIs.  Eddie Matthews batted .900 (4HRs, 12 RBIs).  Dunn/Mize had 5HRs each.
LVP goes to Taverez.  Despite 9 RBIs, he had 0 HRs and had the lowest BA on the team .471.  Had to give out "LVP" to someone.
Don't blame... Sexson; 14-20, 7HRs (2 GS), 20 RBIs in the series loss.  Parrish led the team with a  .789 BA.  Greenberg also had 7 HRs.

"Ruth Division"

McLane holds onto a 1 game lead over Ultimate after losing his series 2-1.
Everyone but Attezz  could still win the division going into the last week of play.
Ultimate may be in the best position as he gets to face Attezz in the last series of the season.
Nomaaa will need a sweep over first place McLane for a chance to go to the playoffs.

"Pujols Division"

Fighton gets the series sweep to move him into a tie for 1st place with BigHath.
GDavis is now eliminated (along with AlecT) from playoff contention.
BigHath and Fighton will get to break the tie in a 3 game series to end the season.  However, it is pretty probable that both teams will make the playoffs either way.  They could really be playing for a 1st week bye.

"Bonds Division"

After being the best offensive team most of the season, Beefmaster finally moves into 1st place (for the first time) with his 2-1 series win over Ryno.  Rack puts his 7 game losing streak to a screeching halt with a 3-game sweep of Stock, putting him only 1 game behind Beef for 1st place.
Rack will play (last place) Ryno, and Beefmaster will play Stock in the last series of the season.

"AROD Division"

Don't know what else to say.  This Divsion is at an absolute lock with each team having 20 wins.  This division is so tight, I had a hard time even deciphering the tie breakers.  I think (but am not positive) that Weathermatt wins the tiebreakers for 1st place currently, as he wins the head to head against Gantry, and every other team is split in the head-to-head column.
Only 1 team will go to the playoffs from this division and is completely up in the air.
Gantry will face off against Weathermatt, and Shooty against Nacho in the last series of the season.
