In the spirit of players who stayed in and caused damage type games.....

This one time Gary Pettis hit a lead off homerun, and then doubled and scored vs Gantry.   ;D  Both balls were pulled to right field.  Pettis dont need no stinking Pettis.

Tom Herr did me in with a homer, double and 2 singles for the Natester.

Speaking of Nate, he always bats Aldrete lead off, and the guy never fails to get at least a single or two each game.

Also, what's the proper response to someone coming over and saying "RBI Baseball? Sweet! But Bases Loaded is a better game - you can't charge the mound in RBI..." Other than punching them in the cock, I mean.

Bases Loaded 3 wasn't all that bad - I had a friend with that game, and we played it quite a bit as a change of pace from RBI and Tecmo Super Bowl.  The original, though, was complete ass.  Fielding was horrific, and they hadn't really refined the pitching/hitting at all.

I'll start on a rough draft.  I was leaning toward 5 NL, 5 AL, but I'm wondering if the Mets should be included instead of a fifth AL team (Detroit, most likely).  Thoughts?

I am still quite disappointed in my Natl tourney appearance...

I really couldnt have played worse than I did in those first three games.  I think my day was over when I got thrown out at second against Beales costing me a run and the lead in my first game....it was all downhill from there.

all of us who went out and drank the night before all did shitty the next morning.

I still think SF is the best team in the game.....AG 2SP.

I still  can not get down with this statement. Nate cubed who is as big(no pun intended)of a advocate of SF being the poop and thinks they are awesome.  However even he will tell you Krukow is a stud, but Rick Reuschel(?) while still good leaves something to be desired compared to Krew Co.   They are a dynamic 1-2 punch though.

Garrelts and Robinson offer some good relief as well, but a staff that has no lefty hurts em in my mind though.

2 SP
BOS/NL clearly over SF
CAL/AL/DET in push-ville vs SF
NY/MIN in uphill battle-ville vs SF
STL/HOU in loser-ville vs SF

NL can deal from the mound and has the hats for bats.  Boston has the fkn bats.

AL can deal from the mound as well.  Cal has some starting pitching, and huge bats.  DET is always tough no  matter what.  Darrel Evans WHAT!

NY's staff can deal.  single handedly can keep them in almost any game.  a lefty side-armer....are you fkn kidding me.  Orosco eats children, and shits out nursing home residents.  MIN has deceptive power at times, and their staters can fkn deal as well.

STL, uh they got tudor.  Houston is more dangerous in 2 SP, but scores 1.2 runs a game.

He has never left. He lurks and hides under various accounts. The dude is pure stealth.

My text message tone was the the homerun sound in RBI for a few months, recently anytime GoReds was near for a TM he would say "Who hit that" to which I would respond with a players name.  Roughly half of the time, I would say "Smith corks one into right, down the line... It may go.  Go Crazy folks! Go Crazy!"

The dee nee tard mixed in with gantry looks a little bit like TBT

Attezz

It's probably under "Ring tone settings"

I know, it sounds weird since it's a text message and not technically a ring, but it's probably within that menu.

JoeDirt

Oh, so a similar sound--not the actual sound from the game...?

He probably "downloaded" or "sent" the sound from the game, from the internet to his phone, allowing him to set it as his text message "tone"

But, this is all speculation.

Briznock

Actually, nightwulf led me to the dee-nee site that has mp3s of all the sounds of the game.  On my Motorola, I can set the text message tone as an mp3.

I just changed yesterday from RBIHomerun to Homer Simpson 'WOOHOO!'  Some of my friends have specific ringers to themselves which come through with TMs too.

Gantry

I have the bases empty song as my ringtone & runner-on as my text.  Someone actually asked me at a customer if the sound was from RBI Baseball.  I said yes and he said that he just played it a few days ago.  For some reason I didn't tell him about the site...

I'm Jonesin to play some curve, gonna see if I can recruit Sperling to play me.  Potsie won't play anything he will lose at (curve) and Lipitz is a worthless sack of muffins who lives so far away now.  Actually, Rack will likely play me on Sunday...
