There's gotta be an NL pitcher who's into it, and who wouldn't really care about their walk up music.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

Since you're here, I was thinking that you should get the guys at dee-nee to find a major league player who will play RBI baseball music as their home "coming to bat" music. I'm sure you guys know at least one player who is hardcore about RBI

Manfreddi, are you still in touch with that radio persona, or PR guy(whoever he was) for the Indians?

The Indians would be the perfect team for this, since they've publicized their clubhouse RBI tourneys.  You'd think Victor Martinez would be game at least once, to publicize his championship.

According to the Uni Watch Blog, it's believed that Davey Lopes was the first bearded manager of the modern era.

Now I've had a couple brews tonight, but this confused me all to hell.

I clicked the new button and couldn't figure out why it sent me to the first post and why it said it was by fightonusc.  I could have sworn I started this thread.

Then a quick search turns up this.

For a minute there I thought I was losing my damn mind.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

Apparently Dale Murphy's kid was an OL for the Bucs, and he got cut today

The Twins trivia book I've been reading described Dan Gladden's style of play as "no holes barred".  I'm hoping that was a typo.

I'm only halfway through it but there are some good chuckles.  Good link, TBG.

Pocoroba.  Love that name.

In Joe Posnanski's latest podcast with Michael Schur (Ken Tremendous from the Fire Joe Morgan blog, also Mose Schrute and the creator of "Parks and Recreation"), they have a short discussion of RBI Baseball.  Schur mentions that he had an NES in his office when he worked on SNL, and he estimates that they played a couple thousand games of RBI during his time there.

People still read FiveThirtyEight?

Also, Steve Lombardozzi's son, Steve Lombardozzi, won the MiLB gold glove for second basemen.

Still a very good blog.  Hopefully it'll be a great blog again come election season, though I think joining the NYTimes has caused it to dip in quality.
