Thanks Gantry...

The other thing to note about that helper link I sent is to be aware of guys who were on multiple teams. For example, Pence hit .314 last year, but since that link for HOU pulls them by team, it doesn't have his season totals, just his HOU numbers...

This thread is a great idea, but it seems like it will be difficult to follow and keep track of.  Can we also track the completed teams via an online list or something?  That way people know what is done and what is not.  I can take responsibility for maintaining the official list if everyone agrees.

Turd

I don't think it'll be difficult to keep track of...I'm updating the list in the top thread...what more did you have in mind?

Re-Peat

I'll do the Cardinals.  I'm also new to making up ratings so I'll have Nacho look it over.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

For now just a simple html table, maybe add in a few extras like sorting a filtering.  Even a format like you already used for 2011 is sufficient, like this http://rbi30.sweethoss.com/roster.php?romid=3, but maybe also identify who is responsible for each team alongside their name.

pmeth

BTW, I`ll represent Canada and take the Blue Jays and maybe a few of the leftovers once others have had a chance to pick.

Turd

Since you're offering to maintain that, that works perfectly fine for me, my friend.  Organization is good...if you keep it in the same format as the roster sheet for 2011, it'll be easy to import into a ROM...

Ok no problem.  BTW is this rom to represent the stats/rosters as of the end of the 2011 season or the start of the 2012 season?

Turd

See previous posts on this thread regarding that question.  Based on 2011 stats, but 2012 rosters. Just like a game you buy from the store would do...so, fielder is on the tigers, but uses 2011 stats as that's the most recent we have.

Use the lineup as if they had a DH where applicable. I mean, Fielder/and Cabrera will have to bat on this ROM even if not playing first base. Use your best judgement.

I use mlbdepthcharts.com as a base, fan graphs.com for pitch speed.

I use www.gantrybuttfucksdudes.com to get all the pertinent information that I need.

Speaking of Pence, I used his complete 2011 #'s when I did Philly. Didn't just take his Philly #'s. Just looked it up....

HOU - .308, 11
PHI - .324, 11
TOT - .314, 22

So you can apply as you see fit.

Turd

Perfect, you're ahead of the game then. Thanks!

I'm in for the Colorado Rockies.

I haven't read the thread yet.  I can do the angels, but the biggest questions for the roster/positions are:

1. 3B - Callaspo is the incumbent, but acquiring Pujols and the question of Morales' health still has this position in flux.  They've talked about trying Trumbo at Third, but a trade may still happen.
2. 2SP - They have Haren as a solid #2, but if you want versatility with a righty-lefty, CJ Wilson would be a good choice as the #2 starting pitcher.
3. Kendrys Morales - In general, they're not sure of his return date since spring training hasn't started.  Will he start the year at DH, or at AAA, or at extended spring training to continue rehab?

In my opinion, it's best to wait on the Angels until the end of spring training when more deals might also be made and we get more answers.

Yessir, wait until things pan out for your team if that helps. We can release this whenever we want.

I havent been on this site in years but saw this and have to get in on it. I love the custom ROMS and run them on my Arcade.

Count me in for the AZ Dbacks. I can even do some other NL West teams if people do not step up as I know that fairly well. I see the Rox are alredy taken care of though so cool.

Turd

Cool, welcome...well get to work when things solidify.

Gantry

Are all the free agents pretty much signed?  I should probably get started...
