Well, it finally happened.  Pat Sheridan hits a 3 run homer off of Danny Cox.  It is his first RBI since back in game 2.  Makes him 3-4 on the day and 13-26 on the day with 1 HR and 5 RBI (I think the RBI count is correct).  We will see if this breaks open the levee or if this was a mistake.

Back to old habits.  Weak grounder scoots past 2B.  Chet Lemon cleans up with a 3 run homer.  Sheridan is now 4-5 on the game and 14-27 on the day.  Will likely be the last at bat until the SF game because I am now up by 15

edfan

We seem to be in another cycle of disappointment.  Weak single in the 1st inning and now Sheridan grounds out weakly to the Pitcher.

1-2 vs SF and 15-29 on the day

Sheridan must be reading this thread.  Last at bat of the SF game was a rope.  Double that scored Nokes from 1st.  2-3 on the game and 16-30 on the day.  6 RBI

Side note...Jack Clark is a one man wrecking crew and I cannot get him out.  Would be 9-0 if not for him, but instead is 9-4 on two 2 run homers by hin

Never pitch to Jack Clark, never

Sheridan with another hard hit RBI double.  He is 1-1 vs AM and now 17-31 on the day with 7 RBI.  Next game, I am going to sub Sheridan in for Nokes and Madlock for Herndon just to slice things up a bit

edfan

Sheridan got up twice in the 3rd.  He ripped a 3rd straight double this one good for 2 more RBI.  He had a chance to put me up by 10 runs with another hit, but he Sheridan'd the inning by fouling out to 3rd.  Up 9 going to the bottom of the 3rd.  Sheridan is 2-3 in this game and 18-33 on the day

Sheridan pops out again to go 2-4 vs AM.  He stands at 18-34 on the day going into the last game of the season.  For the record, Madlock just subbed for Jack Morris and ripped a solo homer to center.  It will be interesting to see who ends the season with more homers now that they both have 1.  Keep in mind that Madlock has only 7 at bats vs Sheridan's 34 to this point

Truer words have never been spoken.  This could be added to one of the gospels in the Bible...maybe it could be added to the wisdom of Proverbs

Sheridan subs for Nokes and makes a weak ground out to the pitcher.  Madlock subs for Herndon and rips a double and is promptly scored on a HR by Lemon.  Sheridan 0-1 in this game and 18-35 on the day

edfan

Sheridan comes up again and grounds out to 1st.  Madlock follows with a solo jack.  0-2 on the game vs NA so far and 18-36 on the season.  Madlock has 2 HR to Sheridan's 1

Gantry

Putting Sheridan at #4 is patently unfair, he's not used to that position.  SHENANIGANS

Edfan is as bad of a Pat Sheridan player as Gantry is great at being a Rob Wilfong player.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Sheridan and Madlock came through with back-to-back RBI doubles.  1-3 on the game.  I believe this gives him 10 RBI on the day and he is 19-37

Are you saying he's the world's worst Pat Sheridan player?

edfan

Sheridan and Madlock both with terrible at bats.  Sheridan with the patented ground out to the pitcher and Madlock with the infield pop out.  Sheridan is 19-38 on the day and 1-4 in the game.  He will be lucky to get another at bat due to the score.  I may keep it close to keep the game going

Pat Sheridan is the worlds worst Pat Sheridan...possibly the worlds worst human.  Thanks, Obama

edfan

Gibson homers with 1 out.  There will be at least 1 more PS at bat.  Depending on how much he Sheridan's, Madlock may get another at bat

#59
Sheridan and Madlock each single in their final at bats.  Sheridan goes 2-5 in the game and 20-39 on the day.  1 HR and 10 RBI is pretty mediocre especially given the legendary status given by the likes of Gantry and BDawk.  I would have to say that Sheridan might be worth subbing for Nokes.  He is disappointing, but less disappointing than Nokes.  Madlock is still definitely the right man for the 5 spot.  In summary, Pat Sheridan cannot hold Madlock's jock strap, but can hold Nokes'. I am sure that if I called Sheridan's parents, wife, or kids,, they would confirm that he disappoints in all aspects of life
