Actually got in a good game of RBI Baseball last night - my college roommate and his family came to visit.  RBI wasn't really our game in college, as we had an SNES and played a lot of Griffey baseball, but I had the NES and not the SNES hooked up, and RBI was an easy choice.

I picked SL; he picked Dt.  The connection was bad on his controller at first, which caused a bunch of button inputs and subbed out my leadoff man twice before he was able to throw a pitch (so I played sans Coleman), but otherwise the game ran well.  We played slurve, not really attempting to strike each other out, and I ended up winning 6-5 in 10 innings, thanks in part to Detroit making five errors in the field.

Our eldest children were watching us play, and we let each of them take a few at-bats in the middle innings... I think that might have gotten my son a bit of fresh interest in the game, so I'm going to see if he wants to play some tomorrow night.

Nice work Beefy, despite being a terrible person you have your moments as a father.

I'm giving serious consideration to giving away my RBI Arcade - it sits under my stairs 363-364 days a year.  Any local guys would be interested in it for free?  Strassy?

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

How big is it?  Dimensions?  I'd pay your gas money if you can bring it to me.  Maybe next time you come to Madison, you know when there's stuff to do and not in an off season.  Spring, Summer?

You and LTrain should just drive out to LA and bring it to me. She can see Hollywood and where movies that don't involve orcs and hobbits are made!

If someone is willing to show up here they can likely have it.

It would be hilarious if Reds made the drive up and then the unlikely occurred and he couldn't have it.

I have been to Hollywood and I found it quite depressing. I got a personality test from a Scientology church and apparently I have a shifty personality.

Was going to comment but there are like 50 in there, should probably do a front page update with that link though.

QuoteThe original is still perfect and enhanced by the RBI Drinking game invented by Gantry and the Gang over at Dee-Nee.com, which is also  my favorite pre-Web 2.0 site still in operation.

I did give thought to moving dee-nee to an actual CMS site but I likely never will.   Good old hand edited HTML
